Caitlyn has been volunteering at Melville stables this summer.
She goes every Tuesday and Thursday morning and works so hard for hours!
I was kind of negative about it and wondered why she would be willing to do such hard, gross work for free. I'm so glad she didn't listen to me. She loves it so much.
It brings her so much joy. She does a lot of hard work, like cleaning out bedding, but she also gets to do what she loves; grooming and tacking the horses.
They told her that she could sponsor a horse. That means she can spend time with that horse and take it out and just give the horse extra love and attention.
She immediately knew she wanted to sponsor Dream. She loves that horse. She said, "Dream is me as a horse. She is very anxious and just paces back and forth." Caitlyn loves spending time with Dream and everyone at the stable has commented how well Dream does with Caitlyn.
Caitlyn took Wyatt with her to the stable to meet dream. He loved it and might start volunteering there too. I'm so glad Caitlyn has found something she loves so much.
