The Canyon

One of our traditions every year is to go to the canyon for dinner and smores.  Right when we got there Jacob and Cody told Jonah that they needed his help finding and fighting a fierce animal that they heard in the trees.  I love watching kids use their imagination.
Wyatt was excited to throw rocks into the water.  I forgot how stressful it is to watch a toddler up there.  Right before we left to come home we lost track of him (I started visiting instead of watching him like I should) and he was heading down the road.  Luckily Keith realized he was missing and found him quickly.  I'm so grateful he was protected and it ended well.  It was not my shining moment as a mother.
Caitlyn had fun putting her feet in the water.
Water, rocks, dirt and sticks, what else do kids need?
I love that my kids have so many cousins and that they all have fun together.
I love when I can get Wyatt to smile for the camera.
Jonah had a great time playing in the dirt, climbing hills and playing with sticks.  When we got home I told him to put his clothes straight in the laundry room because he was so filthy and he says, "so can I wear them again tomorrow?"
Wyatt loved roasting marshmallows.  He kept saying, "hot, hot" and grabbing the roasting sticks.  We all enjoyed the smores!
