We spent the 4th of July at my parents house with my whole family. Here are my parents with their eighteen grandchildren.
Keith had to work. It was such a hot day and Wyatt was determined to make sure I didn't sit much. He kept running into the garden and anything else he could to make me jump up and chase him. My family is great and helped me out a lot. Wyatt sat on Gary's lap and played peek-a-boo with Gary and Julie for a good twenty minutes. I sure appreciated all of the help.
The kids had a great time jumping on the trampoline and playing with their cousins. We all enjoyed the good food and good company.
Wyatt wasn't sure what to think about the fireworks. He would clap and say "wow" and then start crying and then get excited again. Finally he had had enough and wanted to come sit with me.
After he sat with me for a few minutes he wanted to sit on grandma's lap and enjoyed the fireworks for a few minutes and then he was finished and kept saying, "all done."
Jonah loved the fireworks, but always covers his ears for the loud ones.
He always loves the sparklers. He remembered the lesson he learned last year and didn't touch the hot part!
Caitlyn loved watching the fireworks. She is looking so grown up lately and is cute as ever.
Caitlyn has never been a fan of sparklers, but she did one anyway. About half way through she handed it off to me. We all had a fun day. I felt so bad that Keith was stuck at work.
