We pretty much spent the whole weekend at my parents house. The kids loved it. They couldn't wait to play with their cousins every day. Wyatt and Rockwell spent a lot of time on the trampoline. They would take their shoes off and jump around them. At one point they took their shirts off. It was a little cold for that. All of the older cousins are so nice and gave these two more than their fair share of time on the trampoline.
The basketball hoop has been great for the boys. It is so nice that they can go outside and burn off their energy. Keith had fun playing basketball with them. They love when the guys come out and play with them. We had some fun games of lightning too. I just wish I would have worn better shoes!
It was cold and rainy throughout the weekend, but it didn't seem to bother the kids.
These three had fun together for the most part. Dante and Jonah clash sometimes, especially when other people are around.
We were all a little surprised that grandpa let Ruby come stay at their house. The kids were so excited. Ruby was a good sport with the kids. They all wanted to pick her up all of the time.
Wyatt loved holding her and having her lick his hand. Hallee chased her around all the time. She would even get on her hands and knees to chase her. At one point Ruby and Hallee both went for Ruby's bone and Ruby got Hallee. She was fine, but I think it scared her. Hallee still went right up to Ruby the next day. Now every time we say Ruby's name, Hallee will get a sad look on her face and show me her thumb and say, "ruby" in a pathetic voice. I think it is funny so I bring up Ruby's name a lot.
I'm glad my kids are doing better with their fear of dogs. I think Jonah is still nervous sometimes, but not too bad. Caitlyn is doing great. We used to not be able to go outside in the Spring because she was so scared of dogs.
Hallee had the best seat in the house when grandma made peanut butter popcorn.
We have always done sleepovers with Cody and Elena when they are in town. Caitlyn and Jonah were so excited. I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty impressed with their muscles!
Saturday night Lori brought the kids over and she stayed and visited for a while. It was so nice to have her here. Keith went downtown to the Priesthood session. He got some tickets and tried to get all of the young men who don't have their fathers to go with to go with him. He couldn't get all of the boys he wanted to go to agree to go so he started calling other boys and had to leave messages. He ended up having seven people that wanted to go and only six tickets. He said a prayer and felt good about just heading downtown with all seven of them. He said he started to get a little nervous when they went through security and the lady asked for their tickets and he was starting to explain the problem when right at that moment a guy walked by and said, "Here you go, I have one extra ticket." Keith is such a good leader. I hope my boys have someone that cares about them like Keith cares about his young men.
Poor Elena woke up sick early Sunday morning. I think she just coughed too hard or something, but after throwing up she wanted to go back to grandma's. Caitlyn was disappointed, but she had fun playing with Cody when Jonah would let her.
The girls had fun playing princess games together. It was a fun weekend that went by too fast.
