8 years ago today this sweet boy entered our family and life has never been the same. Thank goodness the doctor took him a week early by C-section because he was 10lbs 3ozs and 22 inches long. Jonah was our only "easy" pregnancy. I felt strongly that we should have another baby (even though Caitlyn was only 7 months old) and two months later I was pregnant. I knew he was a boy all along and Keith and I both loved the name Jonah.
Jonah was such an active baby in utero. I loved it because I never had to worry if he was okay in there. There was one night that he didn't move and I was terrified, but other than that I think he kicked me for 9-months straight.
Jonah was such a good, happy baby. He slept great and he hardly ever cried. He had bad acid reflux that caused him to throw up (I wouldn't call what he did spitting up) after every feeding, but he was always happy.
Jonah has always been a charmer. I remember when he was one-year-old and he was flirting with this lady at church. She told me he was the cutest boy she had ever seen and she had three boys!
Jonah has such a fun personality. He is fun to be around and loves to make people laugh. He has always been a quick learner. He picked everything up while Caitlyn was learning it. He was reading fluently in pre-school. He is a great speller and is always in his own spelling group at school. He picks up math very quickly and can remember everything. I am so grateful that learning comes easy to him. Jonah is an early riser. Every morning he gets up and gets breakfast and then gets all of his homework done in the morning. I love that! He also helps his little brother and sister get breakfast. He is so good with little kids!
Jonah is very athletic. He does well in every sport he plays. He loves sports and it is a wonderful outlet for his endless energy. I think his favorite sports are soccer, football and basketball. Jonah is a tough kid, but he is also very sweet. He worries about other people and wants to make sure that everyone is happy and no one is left out.
I am so proud of the boy Jonah is becoming. I am excited for his future. He has all of the ingredients to go so far in life. I am so grateful to be his mom. Jonah makes life fun and exciting!
