Gorgoza Park

A few months ago I won four two-hours passes to Gorgoza Park on the radio.  I was so excited because I wanted to go, but I knew we would never spend the money.  Keith was off of work today so we took Caitlyn and Jonah as soon as they got home from school.
Caitlyn was nervous.  She had a stomachache when we first got there because she was so anxious.  Luckily, she calmed down and realized that it wasn't scary.  Poor girl has such a hard time with anything new.
It was so warm, we all ended up in our t-shirts.  I wish I would have thought about sun screen, we are all a little red.  They have a conveyer belt that takes you up the hill. It was so great.  You still had to do quite a bit of walking, but being pulled up the hills was awesome!
Caitlyn and I went down together and Jonah went with Keith.  We all loved it and Caitlyn was able to relax after that first hill.
They have tethers on the tubes so you can hold on to each other and go down together.  It was so fun to go down together and see the kids excitement.  I may have screamed a little too!
I think we all laughed and screamed every time we went down.
If you wanted to ride the big hills you took the conveyer belt up and then walked up to this pulley system that took you up the hill while you sat in your tube.  It was a lot of fun.
Caitlyn thought it was a great time to rest!
The four of us went down together most of the time.  I wish we had a picture of that.
The hills were really big.  It was nice that it was such a long ride.  The big hills had a couple of jumps that made it more fun.
I was surprised that Caitlyn didn't hesitate to go on the big hill.  Once she went down the first small hill her nerves were gone.   Two hours went by so fast.  We were all tired and thirsty though.  I think Wyatt would have had fun, but it was nice to just have the older two with us.  It was fun to spend time with them and not worry about the little two.
Caitlyn and Jonah both got to be principal for a day today.  They both had 100 AR (accelerated reading) points.  They have been saving their points because they both really wanted to do it.  Jonah was the youngest kid in there.  He said even his ornery teacher was excited for him!  They get to pick partners and they had it all planned that they were going to pick each other.  Katelyn Serr was there too, so they let the three of them do it together.  They got to go into rooms and observe the teachers and work in the library.  Jonah said all of his friends were asking him for rocket tickets, but he told them they had to earn them!  I'm proud of them for setting a goal and working hard to achieve it!
When we were done tubing we went down to get a drink and the kids were excited to see a balloon artist and a juggler.  Keith and Jonah tried their hand at juggling.  I love that Jonah has a BYU hat on, he had the balloon artist make it for him, and Keith is wearing his University of Utah hat.
Caitlyn loved juggling and trying different tricks.  The juggler was so nice and sat and taught the kids and made them feel really good about themselves.
We decided to splurge and let Jonah ride on the snowmobiles.  Caitlyn didn't want to, she wanted to stay and juggle.
Jonah loved it.  There is a little track that they got to ride around.  There were two other kids on the track and they were going slow and I could tell that was driving Jonah crazy.  He kept trying to pass them, but the kid would move over so Jonah never could.  Jonah loved it.  He is sure growing up fast! It was such a fun day.  It was even better because it was free.

That does look like fun and you got some great pictures! I'm glad there was enough snow for you cause it does look sparse! Please tell Caitlyn and Jonah congratulations for being principal of the day. That is great! I'm afraid I'll forget to say something tomorrow.
