Sunday Stroll

On Sunday we went to church in the morning.  Caitlyn went to Young Women's with Lindy and she loved that!
After church we ate a yummy lunch/dinner and then went out for a walk.  I thought we were going down to the beach again so I dressed my kids wrong again!
We walked over to look at the Devil's Punch Bowl.  I didn't get a good picture of that, but I was able to get a picture of the beach from above.  Isn't that gorgeous?  It really was a little piece of paradise.
There is a bridge that we could look down at the water and the Punch Bowl.  We usually hike over into the Punch Bowl during low tide, but we didn't get a chance this trip.
Caleb picked up Wyatt so he could see everything.
I love this picture of Gary and Ashley.
After we stopped here we were going to walk over to another beach.  Wyatt and Hallee were freezing, since I didn't bring their jackets and Keith and I knew it wouldn't be a fun walk with them.
So Keith and I headed back down the trail to the condo with Wyatt and Hallee.  We had a very relaxing, fun walk with these two.  Wyatt and Hallee wanted to stop and look at everything.  It was so great to not be in a hurry and let them take their time.
I did make them pose for a few pictures!
They started collecting pine cones.  They collected them until their bucket was over flowing.
Everything was so green and pretty.
The flowers were beautiful.  It was a great way to spend a Sunday.  You can't help but feel God's love when you are surrounded by the beauty of this world that He created.

Pool Time

After the beach we went to the swimming pool.  The pool is heated and it felt so good.
Everyone was excited to swim.  The pool is right above the beach.  You can sit on the beach chairs and look out at the ocean.
I took a few pictures and then put the camera away so I could get in and swim.
They have this little hot tub in the corner.  It isn't really hot water, more like warm.  Wyatt and Hallee loved it in there.
Everyone had fun playing and messing around.  Kyle and Caleb chased all of the kids and carried them off in the water.  The kids loved it.
This is a shot from our balcony.  Jonah and Jacob loved to hang out on the balcony.  Jonah told me, "if you ever can't find me, I'm probably on the balcony."  I loved having the screen door open so we could always hear the waves.
Kyle and Caleb taught Gary and Keith how to play Magic.  They all had fun playing that.  They taught Wyatt how to play.  Wyatt and Caleb were so excited when Wyatt won!
We all had fun playing Telestrations.  It was so funny and the younger kids really got into it.
I really have some good looking nephews!  Keith and I had fun staying up and talking to Caleb and Kyle at night.  Hopefully they had fun too and weren't just waiting for us to leave so they could go to bed!  They are such great boys.
It was so fun to visit and catch up with each of them.  I got to talk to each of them and see what is going on in their lives.  I wish I got to do that more often.

Low Tide

On Saturday morning we headed down to hike along the beach during low tide. Hallee was obsessed with her bucket and shovel.
It was so funny to watch Jonah and Jacob, they are so similar.  They were both running through the water and climbing on all of the rocks.
It was slippery.  Every one was fine except for me, I fell and landed in some seaweed.  Yuck!
I love Gary and Julie.  I have spent so much time with them over the years and I have loved every minute of it!  It has been too long since we have had quality time together.
It was a little tricky to get the little two over the rocks.  Wyatt was nervous about the rocks.
We loved looking at all of the sea life.  We saw, star fish, sea cucumbers, sea otters, crabs and different kinds of fish.
The boys loved looking at everything and throwing rocks and sticks.
I love these boys!  They are such great kids.  I was so impressed with how much they helped out and they are always so nice to my kids!
Such a fun group!
Keith was pointing out the sea life to Wyatt.
It was so cute to look over and see Hallee and Ashley holding hands.  Hallee kept calling her "my friend."
Hallee was a tough cookie.  Lindy was so sweet with her, but Hallee wanted me most of the time.  Hallee definitely has her own opinions!
After we climbed over the rocks there was a lot of beach.  Wyatt and Hallee liked walking on the sand a lot more than the rocks!

More Pictures

I have so many pictures of that night so I'm doing a second post.
It was so fun to show our kids the ocean.  I love watching them experience new things.  I also love seeing them enjoy nature and all of the beauty and fun it has to offer.
Caitlyn and Jonah had so much fun running from the waves.
The kids started out trying not to get wet, but they gave that up pretty quick.
I love pictures!  I love seeing the smiles on their face.  I love reliving things through pictures.   Caitlyn and Jonah thought the beach was one of the funnest places they have ever been!
Jonah and Jacob had a blast together!  I was so happy to see that they brought out the best in each other and they were both so good.
I loved watching them race on the beach.  They felt pretty important because we would let them go down to the playground alone together.  They were so good about coming back right on time.
Wyatt thought Jacob was so cool!  All of the boys were great with Wyatt, even when he was a grouch!
Caitlyn had a great time with Lindy and Ashley.  Lindy was so nice to Caitlyn and made her feel so important.  On Saturday, they set an alarm so they could go on a walk on the beach together in the morning.  Caitlyn loved that!
I think Caitlyn and Jonah could have stayed here all night.  They didn't seem to mind being wet and cold.
Wyatt and Ammon had fun together.  Wyatt ended up in his underwear because it was warmer than being in his soaking wet sweats.  Wyatt had a blast running in the water.
Wyatt had fun playing in the sand too.
Hallee had fun wandering around the beach.  Hallee and Wyatt both decided they were freezing and done at the same time.  Keith and I took them back up to the room.  They weren't fans of washing the sand off their feet and legs.  It was a relief to get them back up to the room and get them in a warm bath!  I went back to the beach and by that time everyone was getting ready to head back up.  It was the perfect way to kick off our weekend!

Dinner on the Beach

On Friday, we went to Walmart to buy some groceries.  Taking four kids to Walmart is no fun!  We finally made it through that and then we headed home for lunch.  Wyatt and Hallee were in desperate need of a nap and so was I.  I do not sleep well at night and some days I feel like a zombie.  After lunch, Keith took Caitlyn and Jonah down to the game room to play ping pong while I took a nap with Hallee and Wyatt.  I felt like we had wasted a day, so I was really glad that we headed straight to the beach when Gary and Julie arrived.
We were so excited when Gary and Julie got there.  The kids ran around talking a mile a minute.  We packed up dinner stuff and went to the beach to roast hot dogs and make s'mores.   This was probably my favorite thing we did, the whole night was so much fun.
The kids all played in the water and on the beach while we got dinner ready.  I dressed my kids wrong.  It was a little chilly so I put them all in pants and jackets.  They all ended up soaked.  I should have known they would get in the water.
Even Hallee ended up getting wet.  There was a little stream right next to us and she wanted to play in it.  She had fun playing in the sand and the water.  She is such a goof ball, I love her personality.  I also love that rock out there in the middle of the water.
The girls had a great time with the shovels and buckets.
There was a waterfall right next to us.  The kids loved this and most of them ended up getting in it.
The kids didn't want to stop playing to eat dinner.  I finally got Caitlyn and Jonah to and I ended up chasing Hallee and Wyatt around feeding them bites.
When we had everything packed up to walk down to the beach we stepped outside and it was raining.  We decided to go for it anyway.  The rain stopped, but it was still foggy.  It ended up being a great night for it.
We had fun visiting and just watching the kids play and have a blast.
