Yesterday was the kid's last soccer game. I'm a little sad, I love watching them play.
Jonah is a natural athlete. He excels in every sport that he plays. I think he learned a lot from his coach this year. He learned more about positions and how to play as a team. He improved a lot. He did a great job of passing and making some great assists. He loves to make goals, he usually makes a few each game, but we are trying to teach him that it doesn't matter who puts the ball in the net, the whole team has to work together to get it there. He made some progress in that area as well.
Jonah hangs back a little bit. He doesn't get up and challenge the other team, he hangs back and waits for the ball to come to him. I think he will improve on this with time and practice and when he does he will be unstoppable!
I am so impressed with Caitlyn. Sports are out of her comfort zone, but I love that she wanted to do it anyway. She did a great job. I was surprised at how aggressively she played. Every game she made some important plays that helped her team.
She improved a lot over the season. I loved watching her play.
It was fun having these two on the same team. I loved their coach. He would yell through the whole game, not in a bad way. He yelled so the kids could hear him on the field. He would be hoarse by the end of the game and yell "you guys are killing me" a lot through out the game, but he always told the kids they did a great job and made them feel successful. He taught them how to work together as a team and play their best.
Wyatt was a blast to watch. He looked so cute out there and he loved every minute of it.
He was one of the only kids that played on his team so he never had to sit out. He improved a lot this season too. He got more aggressive and he has really good ball control. He was the only kid on the field that would turn the ball around as soon as he got it instead of just heading whatever way the ball was going.
I'm so glad we put him in this time, he was definitely ready.
They were all excited to get their trophy yesterday. It started pouring right before Wyatt's game yesterday so they ended up cancelling it. He was disappointed, but he was glad he got his trophy!
