Keith and I spent most of last week packing up. We went from room to room and took things apart and packed everything up and cleaned each room. It was a lot of hard work and late nights! The kids helped out some and then found ways to keep themselves busy. They had a lot of fun building this fort out of boxes.
Caitlyn and Jonah wanted to sleep in the fort. Jonah ended up changing his mind and said he didn't want to sleep on the floor. Caitlyn slept in there and loved it.
On Thanksgiving we were busy packing and realized that we hadn't heard from Jonah for a while. We found him asleep in the fort. I don't think Jonah has taken a nap since before he was two-years-old.
Wyatt and Hallee had sick tummies right before Thanksgiving. We were planning on going to my mom's, but we didn't want to get anyone sick so we stayed home. We were sad to miss out on time with family, but we had a nice time together at home.
I told Keith I would make a nice dinner, but he said he would rather go to Del Taco (we had just received an e-mail from Del Taco saying they would be open on Thanksgiving). Keith and I spent the whole day packing and then around 6 PM we all went through the drive thru and ordered our Thanksgiving dinner! We let the kids get a kids meal, so they were thrilled. We ate dinner and watched Elf. It was definitely different than we are used to, but it was a great Thanksgiving. We have so much to be grateful for. It was a great reminder that all we need is each other, nothing else is important. We are so grateful for Keith's new job, for our new home that we are so excited about, for the gospel, for wonderful family and friends and for our Savior that makes it all possible.
On Friday, Keith and I spent all day packing again. I was just starting to think about dinner when Katie called and said they were bringing dinner over. It was so wonderful and made my life so much easier. It was great to visit with them while we ate. Katie told us that they were making another Thanksgiving dinner on Sunday and they invited us. It was great to visit with them and Steve and Jean and eat a wonderful dinner. It was so good! It was so nice of them to invite us and very much appreciated! I spent the whole night holding Kenzie. It made all of the stress of the week fade away while I held her and watched her smile!
