We were supposed to close on our home this week, but our buyer's loan wasn't ready. Poor Paul has to do his job, the other realtor's job and hound the lender. They finally let us know late Monday night (after Paul hounded them all day) that the loan wasn't ready. The lender said it was her fault and she had just been too busy. We are so grateful for our amazing realtor and lender!
We had a truck and people lined up to help us on Tuesday, but we pushed all of that back. Saturday a bunch of people, whom we are so grateful to, came and helped us load up our pods. They all worked so hard and quick and we were finished in a little over an hour. We still have outside stuff and a few other things so we got a storage unit for the rest.
We have packed up most of our things, but we still have mattresses, a fridge and a washer/dryer, so I figured we could stay for another week. It has been nice to have evenings free this week since most of the packing is finished and we are released from our callings.
The kids have had fun playing in the boxes and with the few toys we have left around here.
They have all done a lot of coloring and drawing. They all enjoy that and we still have paper and pencils so they can do that.
Hallee has been such a handful lately. I know she hasn't felt good, but wow, she can throw some fits! She seems to be feeling better now, thank goodness!
On Monday, I dropped a bunch of clothes off at Tiff's and Hallee had fun playing with Tessa for a while. I had some errands to run down there and then we met the inspector for the inspection on our new home. He said he is so glad that we backed out of the other house and he loved this new home. The owners are so meticulous and everything is done so well. It really is a buyers dream. It was so great to have him show us all of the great things about the house. There were a few minor things he advised fixing, but really nothing to worry about.
My mom picked up Wyatt from pre-school on Monday so I could take care of everything in Provo. He had a blast with grandma. She took him to the mall and they had fun playing games together.
Caitlyn and I went and saw Amarie in the nutcracker this week. It was a fun night out for us.
Amarie did great! She has always been a talented dancer.
On Sunday we had Carlos take a picture of us in front of our house. We are really going to miss this place. We came as a family of four and we are leaving as a family of six. We have made great memories here and met great people.
Sunday was our last week in our ward (well it was supposed to be) so they made us speak! Keith and I quickly wrote our talks late Saturday night. It was harder to say goodbye than I thought it would be. There are so many wonderful people in our ward. I love the diversity and the fact that people aren't judgmental in our ward and area. The ward is struggling because of the small numbers, but everyone is so nice and welcoming. The Young Women all wrote me a card and gave me a neat picture. I will miss them and the ladies that I worked with in Young Women's. I know this will be good for our family, but change is hard. I was sad to say goodbye to everyone.
Hopefully we will close on our house this week. We are planning on moving into Tiff and Paul's on Tuesday night. I'm so grateful to them for taking us in. I'm excited to be there, it will be a lot of fun. My kids can't wait to stay with them.
