Concerts, tours and trampolines!

A couple of weeks ago our ward was invited to a bridal tour at the new temple.  It was for girls 8 years of age and older and their moms.  On Sunday afternoon Caitlyn and I met up with our ward for the tour.  Caitlyn was happy that we ended up next to one of her friends.  We watched a video first about a group of young women who hiked over 15 miles to the Manti Temple.  It was really touching and talked about how we have to keep our eye on the temple even though the road can be rough sometimes.
After that they took us through the bridal room, sealing room and the marriage waiting room.  It was really crowded and it took a while to get through the lines, but I'm glad we went.  At the end of the tour our bishop was handing out handkerchiefs to the girls with the temple monogrammed on them.  Caitlyn was excited about that.
Caitlyn had her first choir concert a week ago.  It was a choir festival for the whole Provo School District.  At the last minute we decided to leave the other three kids home.  I'm really glad we did.  It was a very long, hot, crowded night!
They held the festival in the gym at Timpview High School.  They said they used to hold it at the Provo Tabernacle (which is now the Provo City Center Temple) and it sounded like this was the first year holding it in the gym.  I hope it is the last.  The sound was awful and it was really hard to hear.  It didn't help that everyone around us just kept talking.  They kept asking people to be quiet and people were visiting all around us.  It drove me crazy.  I couldn't believe it when I looked over and saw a woman passing out slices of pizza to her family.  Crazy!  Caitlyn's school was one of the last to perform and had one of the best performances.  They all sang a folk song and some of them were a little strange.  Our school's song was really catchy and the choir did great.  They turned to their neighbor and did hand clapping in the middle, it was really neat.  You can see Caitlyn on the top row on the left hand side.  I'm so glad her school has a choir, she loves it!  It was fun to have the night with Caitlyn.  We stopped and got shakes on the way home.
Last Saturday we set up our trampoline.  The kids were so excited to have it up again.  They have had a lot of fun on it.  I did have to tell Wyatt that he can't put Jackson on the trampoline and bounce him, poor dog, he is so patient with Wyatt.
The boys didn't have any interest in letting me get a picture of them jumping, but Caitlyn and Hallee are always happy to pose for me!
I'm so excited about our yard.  The kids have so many fun things to do outside!
