Grandma is a Cougar!

I was helping Jonah with a pedigree chart for scouts.  We were writing down birthdays and he realized that my mom is older than my dad, even though it is only by three weeks.  Jonah yelled out, "grandma is a cougar!"  I had to tell Keith what a cougar was when I told him a joke so I guess Jonah listened.  He always makes me laugh.
Jonah is always climbing up the walls, literally!  Jonah has made a good friend in the neighborhood.  He plays with Mack at least a few times a week.  It has been so good for him.  I just wish Mack wasn't moving in a couple of months!
Wyatt and Hallee wake up so early!  Wyatt knows he can't come out of his room until his clock says 7:00 AM.  Hallee doesn't quite understand that rule.  Wyatt wouldn't leave his bed so Hallee went in his room with him and I found them playing war! It was really cute.
Wyatt is excited about learning lately.  He was fighting it for a while, but now he wants to read and do math all the time.  He is doing awesome on his reading.  He can sound out most words now and is starting to spell on his own.  Jonah has been teaching him about times tables so he likes to do that too.  Today he asked me when his birthday was and I told him that it was in four months and he was quiet for a minute and then said, "so in 120 days."  I asked him how he knew that and he said, "I just counted by thirties, because 3+3 is 6 and 3x3 is 9 and 3x4 is 12."  I love to see that cute little mind working so hard.  He just soaks up everything Jonah says and Jonah loves that.  I love it when Jonah uses that for good instead of potty talk!
Hallee has started writing most of her letters.  She wanted to draw Rockwell a card for his birthday so I was telling her how to spell it from the other room.  I was really impressed when she showed me the card!  Hallee also loves to color.  She is our only sunbeam that will spend twenty minutes coloring in the lines.  It would sure make our job easier if all the kids enjoyed coloring so much!
We pulled out our karaoke machine one night and Wyatt had a lot of fun singing. It took him a while to decide to sing because he was too embarrassed, but when he finally decided to do it, he really got into it.
Wyatt wanted to sing in his spider man costume while the other kids danced.  It was a fun night.  You really appreciate the nights where everyone gets along and has fun together!
