The faces of Christmas!

My favorite thing about Christmas is watching the kids faces while they open their presents.
Jonah was thrilled to get a new pair of shoes from us and one from grandma and grandpa.
I love to buy presents for my kids. I think I am more excited than the kids!
It's so fun to pick out presents that you know they are going to love and be excited about.
Caitlyn has always been fun to watch.  She gets so excited and everything is sentimental to her.
Wyatt loves his new Lego Marvel game.
We took turns opening presents so we could watch everyone.
Wyatt loves his new basketball.
Caitlyn would cover her mouth and say, "oh my gosh" on almost every present.
I love that cute face.
Things sure change as the kids get older.  Jonah asked for clothes, shoes and socks this year!
Caitlyn didn't ask for much, so she was surprised with almost every present.
I have never had a hard time coming up with ideas for my kids until the last couple of years.  I think it gets harder as you get to the fourth child.  Hallee only asked for a couple of things.  I thought she would be the easiest to shop for, but she was actually the hardest.
We surprised Jonah with a drone.  I found an awesome deal on one a couple of months ago.
Caitlyn wanted a phone case that said, "I love my dog."  I think she thought I forgot because she got so excited when she opened it!
Jonah loved all of his new clothes.  He doesn't wear pants or long sleeve shirts, so it was all shorts and t-shirts.
Caitlyn loved all of her clothes.  I went to Kohls to pick out some clothes for her and I ran into Damon and Tiff.  I was so glad because Tiff helped me pick out clothes for Caitlyn and they are the same height so I could see how they would fit her.
Hallee loves to be sarcastic.  She kept saying things like, "oh wow a box, how nice."
Wyatt loved his new clothes too.  Every time he opened something new, he wanted to put it right on.
Jonah wanted crazy socks for Christmas.   It took me a while to bring myself to spend what I thought was a lot of money on ugly socks! He sure loves them though.
Caitlyn would say, "Oh this is so cute!" every time she opened new clothes or shoes.
We found this fiber optic light for Hallee and she loves it!
Wyatt wanted Nerf guns for Christmas.  He loved that he got a Nerf vest and target too.
Jonah, so happy with his ugly breakfast socks! Ha!
Caitlyn wanted more lights for her room.  Her room is so neat. She has it set up so well and likes to decorate it.  I'm glad that she likes her room so much. She loves to rearrange it and show me where she put everything.
I'm the kind of mom that wraps everything up!  Wyatt thought it was pretty funny that he got underwear for Christmas.
We surprised Jonah with his Donovan Mitchell shirt!
I love that Caitlyn was shocked on every present, even the ones she asked for!
Hallee loved her new clothes.
More ugly socks for Jonah.
Caitlyn got some art sets that she wasn't expecting, she was really happy about that.
Hallee was so excited for her unicorn headband!
I get so excited on Christmas Eve that I can't sleep!  The kids reactions never disappoint. I love Christmas morning.  I think Christmas morning is payoff for all the hard things about being a mom!

Christmas Eve

We had our traditional Christmas eve with my family.  I've always loved Christmas eve.  I remember being so excited for it and now my kids are so excited for the same traditions that I was.
After we ate a lot of good food we watched the Nativity.
Alexys is always so good with Hallee.
Cute boys!
It's so fun to spend time with cousins at grandma's house!
Dad reads the nativity out of this bible every year.
Hallee was an angel.  She was a bit of a sassy angel and kept walking away.
The kids love to be donkeys or "honkeys" as Damon calls them! Ha!
Wyatt loved having Dante as his donkey.
That is a good looking group!
After that Jonah read a sweet story that my mom knew she couldn't get through without crying.
Then it was time for Christmas Bingo.  The kids love this and they love their prizes!
The adults have fun playing bingo together. Every year we make the same jokes, it never gets old.
After that it was back downstairs for the grab box.
The kids were all happy with their books!
They can't wait to start reading.
I love this picture of Wyatt and Rockwell reading their books together.
The adults all love their gift cards!
Mel had me snap a picture of their family.  They sure are a good looking bunch and so much fun to be with.  They had us for Christmas this year and totally spoiled us.  Mel got each kid a present, which they loved and Keith and I new camping chairs and a game!  We sure felt loved and spoiled!
Mom and dad opened their gifts from us that night.  We got dad a hiking back pack and mom a canvas that says, "It will all work out."
The kids were excited to open their presents from grandma and grandpa.
They all loved their presents and got spoiled as usual. Mom and dad are so generous with all of us and we really appreciate it!
Poor dad, he works so hard and never gets enough sleep!  It was a great night.  It was nice that we started early and we didn't have anything else that day so we could relax and enjoy the time instead of rushing.
