Christmas Sunday

I love the Sunday before Christmas.  Church always seems so special and is filled with talks about Jesus Christ and Christmas music.  It was nice that we only had Sacrament meeting yesterday.
Everyone humored me for a picture before church.
Keith gave a great family home evening lesson that morning.  We watched Mr Krueger's Christmas and then talked about the true meaning of Christmas.
He gave us a chance to draw or write what Christmas means to us.  Jonah chose to write, I love what he wrote.  He said, "To me, Christmas is all about remembering the birth of Christ and doing what he did for us, giving! Jesus gave us our earth and many gifts.  For example, he gave us the gift of repenting and the gift of being able to get resurrected.  He volunteered to be our Savior, by being crucified, just so we could be resurrected as he did.  That is why we give gifts on Christmas. We remember all of the gifts He gave us.  He wants us to think of others, just like He did.
Jonah has loved reading the blog books.  I try to get him to read them out loud to me, but he didn't like that, so I just looked over his shoulder.  Caitlyn snapped a picture of us.
Last night we celebrated Christmas with the Looslis.  We all went to Katy and Brent's for dinner.
Jonah and Jacob always have a blast together.
Caitlyn loved holding Brandon all night and playing with Brinley.
It has been a few years since we have done the traditional things with Keith's family.  Keith read the Christmas story in Luke and then we sang the Twelve Days of Christmas.  After that everyone opened presents.  The kids were thrilled with their presents.  It was a fun night.
