This is a picture of the Harbor and Lower Manhattan as we sail away.
It was exciting when the Statue of Liberty came into our view.
I took a ton of pictures.
Pictures don't do a good job of showing how big it really is.
It was so great to see the sun, there was a cold wind, but it wasn't terrible.
I loved seeing the city from the water. It is amazing how many buildings they fit in New York City.
We enjoyed the view and waited until the crowds died down to get off the boat.
There are two gift shops, a museum and the Statue of Liberty on the Island.
I took a few pictures from the ground before we went up to the pedestal.
It was so crowded so this was the best I could do to get a picture with me in it.
They wouldn't let you take any purses or bags when you went up to the pedestal. We went as high as they would let us.
I couldn't stop taking pictures of the city. I love that view.
I tried to take some closer pictures so it would show the size of it better.
It was fun to see the statue from all the different angles.
Someone asked us to take their picture so I asked her to take ours. You can see how windy it was. Kristin and I were laughing about her awesome comb over hair do in the picture.
They have had to do some replacements and repairs on the statue over the years, here is the original torch.
They have true to size replicas in the museum.
We looked at the shops and ate some lunch before we got back on the boat.
The seagulls kept posing in my pictures.
One last look at the statue as the ferry headed to Ellis Island.
I couldn't get enough of that view. I have plenty of pictures to remember it by!
We didn't get off the boat at Ellis Island. It was getting late and we still had a lot to fit in that day. I'm disappointed that I didn't get to see it, but I knew I wanted plenty of time at the 9/11 memorial so it was worth skipping it.

I love the pictures of the Statue of Liberty and the city! They have fit so much in the city with all those tall buildings. I thought Salt Lake was crowded with buildings but I guess that is nothing compared to New York City!
Another great picture with the seagull!! And Kristin’s hair is amazing in the wind. We had a good laugh at that one.
