It is crazy to me that it is the year 2020. It doesn't seem very long ago that it was 1999 and we were all worrying about Y2K and couldn't believe it was going to be the year 2000.
Another crazy thing is Hallee will get baptized this year! It seems like she was a baby yesterday and like it was a lifetime ago at the same time. The days when I had little kids seemed to pass so slow sometimes, but the years have passed so quickly. I love my kids getting older, but I would love to go back for one day and hold those sweet babies again.
Keith and I took Hallee to Great to Be Eight a couple of weeks ago. She was so excited. She has so many questions and likes to understand and clarify everything. I love that about her, but it can also be challenging because she always seems to have a question. She is counting down the days until August 1st when she can get baptized.
Hallee got a disco light for Christmas. She loves to turn off the lights and have a dance party. One night we got the whole family in on it. Everyone took turns picking their favorite songs.
Jonah and I still play basketball together every Monday morning and I love that. We both get frustrated with each other a lot, so that time where we just have fun together is great! We like to trash talk and try to distract the other person when they are shooting. We always play around the world and I have beat him twice, but he has beat me every other time. The other exciting thing (for me at least) is when I stuffed him! He is such a good player so I get excited if I make a good play on him.
Sometimes we go over to the church after school so Jonah can practice shooting. Hallee and Wyatt bring their scooter and penny board. They love the smooth gym floor.
Keith and Caitlyn went furniture shopping a couple of weeks ago and found a great deal on a couch at Sams club so we bought that and put it downstairs and moved our sectional upstairs. Now we are trying to decide what else we want downstairs. Caitlyn and I were at Sam's club and we saw that this hanging tent chair was on clearance. We have both been looking at it for a couple of years and I've never seen it this cheap. Since we are looking for chairs for downstairs we decided to get it. I asked Caitlyn to climb up on the shelf to try it out to see if it would work for her and Jonah too. We laughed a lot while I helped her get up there and then back down.
The kids love the chair. It has lights inside of it. The kids love to lay in there and watch a show.
Hallee wanted to invite Amanda over to see the chair. They had fun playing in there with Hallee's stuffed animals and disco light.
Caitlyn and I minister to Karen Bunnell. She is so kind and always doing things for other people. She surprised Caitlyn with a back to school bag with school supplies, gum and treats. She also wrote her a very sweet note. It meant so much to Caitlyn and to me.
Keith and I were talking to Jonah the other night so Caitlyn put Hallee to bed and read her a book. I loved walking in on this.
Matt was in town for a meeting this weekend. I hung out with him for a couple of hours on Friday night. It was fun to visit with him. On Saturday all of the adults went to Leatherby's.
After that we went to mom and dad's and visited for a while. It was fun.
Matt spilled on himself so Mel helped him clean it up. I took a picture and sent it to Lori, she responded with, "It takes a village." I laughed out loud at that one.
On Sunday me and the girls went over to my parents to visit with Matt. Keith had meetings and Jonah had an interview with the bishop so the boys all stayed home. We had fun playing games. It was great to have Matt in town for the weekend.
Kyle's hair is longer right now so he will put it in a pony tail sometimes (we call it his man bun). Wyatt and Jonah wanted to see if they could pull their hair up like Kyle!
When Caitlyn has a bad day, she loves to cuddle up with Jackson.
