Time to Party!

I wrote about this in my last post, but we decided that it was time to start seeing family.  We were all going a little crazy and missing them and it seemed like the right time.  Caitlyn started crying when I told her that we were going to have her birthday party and the girls were going to sleep over.  She was so excited.
On Friday afternoon Mel brought them down. She stayed and visited for a while, which I loved.  I have missed my sisters!  Caitlyn and I had shopped all morning and bought all of the food she wanted for meals and baking.  They started out playing chopped.
Hallee was happy to be the judge.  Mel and I also tasted their creations.  They were pretty good.
We picked a simple dinner so I didn't have to spend all night cooking and doing dishes.
Caitlyn wanted strawberry short cake.  It was delicious.
Caitlyn was on cloud nine all night.
I loved hearing them laugh together, even if it was at my expense sometimes!
Apparently Amarie didn't get the memo that they were supposed to wear last years cousin shirt instead of the shirt from two years ago!
They spoiled her with presents that she loved.
After lots of games, jumping on the trampoline, dinner and cake they watched a couple of movies that night.
Alexys fell in love with the tent chair.  Keith and I watched a movie with Hallee and Wyatt and Jonah got a ride with Mel and went and spent the night with Dante.
I made French toast with whipped cream and strawberries for breakfast.
The girls spent Saturday playing games, going on scooter rides and cracking jokes.
My mom came out to pick them up Saturday afternoon and brought Jonah back.  Dante and Jonah had a fun time together.  Jonah texted me and said it was so nice to be out of the house and see other people!  Having a "normal" weekend was good for our souls.

Great pictures of Caitlyn's party! All the girls look so happy! It was good for me to do something that seemed normal and having Jonah spend the night here! Great job Allison!
