Lindy's Farwell

Lindy was called to serve a mission in the Washington DC South mission. She is going to report to the MTC on May 11 (she will be doing the MTC at home).  We were planning on listening to her talk in the car on the way home.  The drive is over twelve hours so we didn't want to get home in the middle of the night.

Once we were there it seemed silly to leave early that morning and miss her farewell.  We decided we would stay and leave right after the lunch.  Jonah and Wyatt were thrilled because that meant they got to spend the night with Jacob and Ammon.  Julie snapped this picture of Jacob talking Jonah through tying his tie.
I'm so glad we stayed.  Lindy gave a beautiful talk about kindness and tied it in perfectly to the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I'm so glad we got to be there in person.
We have all loved having Lindy live in Provo and we are going to miss her!
Matt had fun taking selfies with everyone.
Handsome guys.
Cody was sweet and helped Wyatt with his tie.
Wyatt had a hard time saying goodbye to his cousins.  He had so much fun with all of his cousins.
Matt snapped a picture of Hallee when she was in one of her moods. He asked me if he should cheer her up, I dared him to! I don't think it worked.
After church we went back to Gary's for a while.  I had fun playing a game with Kyle, Paige, Lindy, Ashley and Caitlyn. After that we went over to Julie's parents for lunch.  We ate and visited and then said goodbye and got on the rode a little after 1 PM.  It was a long drive home, but we took turns sleeping and got home a little after 2 AM. We were all so tired for a couple of days while we tried to catch up.  I'm so glad we stayed though, it was a great way to end a great trip.

The Big Day

Saturday was the big day.  We had a wedding lunch at Julie's parents house.  The girls loved sitting with the guests of honor.
The food was so good. After we ate Johanna sang, "All I ask of You," from Phantom of the Opera.  She has a beautiful voice and it was amazing.  After that they told the story of how they met and started dating up until they got engaged.  It was fun to hear about that and see them interact with each other while they told the story.  They really are such a great match.
Cody and grandpa had fun talking politics.
I think both of them could talk for hours, so when you put the two of them together they had quite the discussion! I love that Cody is so passionate about politics and so well informed. After the lunch we went over to the hotel with Matt, Lori and Tiff and visited until it was time to go to the temple.
Their appointment was at 6 PM.  I loved seeing Caleb holding the door open for Johanna as they walked in.
I loved being in the temple again.  I felt so honored to be invited to their sealing.  It's so hard that they have to limit the number to so few.  I loved listening to all of the great things the sealer said and watching Caleb and Johanna be sealed for time and all eternity.
They looked so good and so happy.
We took pictures outside the temple.  I'm sure I will get more pictures later when people share them, but I'll start with what I took.
The Ham family is growing.  I love all of these people!
The temple grounds are beautiful! The wedding party looked so good.
Of course I couldn't pass up another picture of the groomsmen.
Jonah was so excited when Caleb asked him to be a groomsman.
Wyatt was thrilled too.  They were both so excited about it and couldn't wait to be there for the wedding.
I'm so happy for Caleb.  It is so fun to be his aunt and I'm so excited to see him so happy!
Here they are with the cousins.
Elena took a family picture for us.
I love how they turned out and I love this family of mine.
The kids had fun chasing each other around while they were taking pictures.
Handsome guys!
They had to be quick with the pictures before they lost day light.  I snapped a picture of the temple as we were leaving.  It is such a beautiful temple.  I think it turned out to be a perfect day for them!

The Reception

The groomsmen looked so handsome!
Their back yard looked amazing.  It is a beautiful back yard and they decorated it so cute.
Caitlyn wore heels so we all look very short next to her!
The boutonnieres were magnetic, genius!
The stars of the evening!  They looked so good and so happy!
The girls all loved the chance to visit with Johanna and Caleb.
I loved hearing Elena gush over everything.  She loved the flowers, the cake, the dress and everything else!
It's still crazy to me that I'm the aunt at the wedding reception, I don't feel old enough for that.
I couldn't get a good picture without getting in the photographers way, so I just snapped some from the side.
You can see the drink table to the side of the boys.  Everything looked so good.
I just can't even handle how cute this is!
Sandy and Steve came to the reception.  It was so good to visit with them.
I have so many fun memories with them.  I loved going with them to Idaho when I was young.
Every time I looked over at these boys I wanted to take another picture!
Caitlyn gave grandma a big hug cause she was cold, it was so sweet.
Caitlyn loves her grandma!
The cake looked so good!
The night ended with more ping pong!  It was a great night, everything turned out so well.

Wedding Festivities

On Friday we went over to Gary and Julie's in the morning.  Keith and the boys helped Gary set up for the reception.
The girls went over to Julie's parents house for a bridal shower.  Paige planned a fun bridal shower for Johanna to welcome her to the family.
Poor Hallee had a rough time.  She didn't have any cousins her age to play with and we were always dragging her from one place to the next.  We got back late every night and she was exhausted because she woke up early every morning.  She had her moments of melt down, but overall she was so good and flexible.  She bought this bottle at the shops at Seaside and when she got bored she would feed her sloth!
Paige had lots of fun games.  Elena got the closest on pin the lips on Caleb!
Hallee, Lindy, Paige and Johanna's dad were the lucky models for the toilet paper dresses.
Keith took a picture of all the boys hanging out during the shower.
Ashley and Lindy made the wedding cake.  They did such a good job.  It looked amazing and tasted fantastic.  Caitlyn and Elena helped a little bit.
The kids all loved playing ping pong at Gary's house.
Wyatt loved climbing their tree in the back yard.
The boys always have fun playing dodge ball on the trampoline.
That night Julie's brother and his wife hosted dinner for all of us before the reception.  Her family was so kind and generous!
I love hearing the cousins laugh and talk together.
After dinner the boys got dressed for the reception.  I thought it was cute to see grandpa helping Jacob with his tie.
Keith helped our boys get ready.  I'm going to do a separate post for the reception because I took a lot of pictures. I couldn't stop taking pictures of these cute boys!
