I told my family that Thursday we were going to the coast. I couldn't be this close to the ocean and not go see it! We started out at Cannon Beach, it was only about an hour and a half drive.
It was a little cold, but we didn't let that stop us.
Hallee and I picked up a few sand toys at the dollar store the day before. Most of the day was overcast, but we did get some sunshine.
Hallee takes after her mama, she loves the beach!
We were planning on visiting a couple of beaches so I was a little nervous about the kids getting wet and cold first thing, but it was the perfect place to enjoy the beach and the ocean.
Hallee and Wyatt were the only ones that got all the way in the water. Caitlyn and Jonah put their legs in the water, but decided it was too cold.
Jonah always goes in more than he is planning. He got his shorts wet, but they dried quickly.
Hallee and Wyatt had a blast running and jumping in the waves.
I was in heaven with the sounds of the ocean and the feel of sand beneath my toes.
Wyatt quickly decided he wanted to take his shirt off and get wet!
One day, I really want to bring a book and just sit by the ocean and read!
That is haystack rock behind us.
I love this picture of Hallee, it captures how much fun she was having.
The water was so cold!
I had fun going out in the water with Hallee and Wyatt.
Wyatt had so much fun playing in the water. He was freezing the rest of the day, but I think it was worth it.
I love this picture of Hallee, it looks like she is dancing on the water.
I really wish we lived closer to an ocean. I could spend all day here watching my kids play.
Hallee and Wyatt brought bags to collect shells and sand dollars.
Wyatt was excited when he found almost a whole sand dollar.
When he bent down to get it a big wave came up and he got water in his mouth.
I think Caitlyn and Jonah still had fun even though they didn't get in the water.
Caitlyn and I had fun taking fun pictures.
This doesn't looked posed at all. Ha!
The kids had fun playing in the sand.
After a couple of hours Wyatt was freezing and ready to go. We got the kids dried off and changed so they could warm up.

What fun pictures and I loved the two that you mentioned of Hallee! Also the one with Caitlyn jumping! I don't know how the kids got in the water since I thought the beach was chilly but kids don't feel the cold like Dad and I do for sure. It looked like lots of fun!
So many great pictures! The beach is the best!
