Our next stop was Ecola State Park. We got excited when we saw an elk on our way in, but we realized once we pulled in the parking lot that there were a ton of elk just hanging out.
We walked up to the look out point and enjoyed this beautiful view.
We had to do a selfie to get all of us in, but then you miss the gorgeous view behind us.
The kids were thrilled to take more pictures.
There was a little path that went up to a look out point, but there were different look out points along the way.
The top definitely had the best view.
I could stay here all day and watch the waves roll in.
We had a great view of Haystack Rock from up here. Unfortunately, the kids did not want to sit and enjoy the view as long as I did.
There was one more path and it led out to the water and a view of this light house. The light house was really far away so it was hard to get a good look at it.
We took one last look at the elk on our way out. After that we headed back to our place. We were all exhausted and ready for a shower. It took a while to get all six of us through the shower. Matt and Lori flew in while we were on our way back so they came over with dinner that night. It was fun to visit with them.

Those elk looked interesting! I'm glad there was a path you could take and see views that did look beautiful! I'm sorry nobody wanted to stay and look at the view as long as you did but at least you were there. What a fun day and then to top it off with Matt and family coming over with dinner sounds wonderful!
