It worked out great that our Spring Break was the week EJ got married. We got to enjoy having family in town without worrying about school. On Monday we got the house cleaned up and ready for Julie and the kids to come stay with us.
Wyatt was listening to music while he did his cleaning. I had to snap a picture because he looks so grown up. He looks like a teenager!
On Tuesday I went to lunch with Julie and Lindy. I love talking to them. Later that afternoon we took the kids to Lowe's to jump for a couple of hours.
Lindy, Kyle and Paige came too. It was really crowded because of Spring Break. The second hour people started leaving, so we were all grateful for that.
The kids enjoyed the ninja course. I love Hallee photo bombing this picture! That night they all came to our house for dinner. The kids had fun playing a game with Kyle. Julie ran Lindy home and then it was nice to have time to visit with her and Kyle and Paige.
Wednesday was EJ's wedding. Here is one more family picture from that day.
On Thursday we drove up to Rexburg along with Julie and the kids. Johanna was going through the temple that day. I knew she didn't have a lot of people going so I thought it was worth asking if I could tag along. It worked out great and we were able to spend a few more days with Julie and the kids. I loved being in the temple again, it has been over a year and I have missed it. It really felt like coming home. I really hope the temples open up soon.
It was great to meet Johanna and see how great her and Caleb are together. You can tell they are both so in love and think the other one is wonderful! Luckily everyone was already in the temple when Julie and I got there because there was a crazy windstorm. I picked the wrong dress to bring, it had slits up the side and it was blowing up and all over the place. Poor Julie was behind me and got quite the show. Luckily the wind had died down when we came out of the temple. We visited with Johanna's parents for a while. I could tell the wind was picking up again so I hurried to the car. Poor Caleb didn't need his crazy aunt mooning his in-laws on the first day he met them!
We didn't get back to our AirBNB until almost 9:00 PM. We were starving. We rented a nice house that fit us all. Julie was so nice and let me and my girls have the master bedroom. The closet was huge so Hallee slept in there the first night. The house we rented was a multiplex and we accidently checked into the wrong unit. The address was one of the units so I just looked at that and didn't notice the unit number. I sent Caitlyn to unlock the front door and we realized later that it was unlocked so we didn't know the code didn't work. Someone came in while we were at the temple and that sure made the kids nervous. Luckily, it all worked out and we didn't have to switch units.
On Friday Julie helped Caleb move out of his apartment. I went shopping and got a few groceries and then just hung out at the house with the kids. It was nice for some down time! We wanted to check out a waterfall that we had read about online so Friday afternoon we drove to see it. The road was closed for the last few miles because there was so much snow. We parked in the parking lot that was open and got out of the car to decide what to do.
We weren't dressed for snow, but that didn't stop Jacob and Jonah from climbing this huge hill. Wyatt and Ammon ended up climbing up there too.
Hallee and Caitlyn kept sinking in the snow. Hallee had enough of it really quick and wanted to wait in the car.
Jonah and Jacob ran down the hill, you can see Jonah behind Hallee. He had a hard time staying on his feet.
I remembered that I had garbage bags in the van so we got those and the boys tried sliding down the hill on the bags. It worked okay, but the bag would come out from under them.
Jacob came up with a good solution and tied his bag on him like a diaper. It was hilarious!
Caitlyn struck a pose for me!
Caleb and Johanna came over that night for dinner and they drove back to Oregon with Julie the next morning. Friday night we took the kids to a trampoline park.
I sat and visited with Julie and Johanna so I didn't get very many pictures. It was nice to get to know Johanna better. She is so sweet and I really think her and Caleb are a great fit. We got back to the house late and all tried to get some sleep before our drives. I ended up waking up early Saturday morning so we got an early start and were home a little after noon. I was exhausted from the week! It was so much fun though!

Great blog and seeing what you did in Rexburg. The snow would have been a challenge but Jacob's idea to tie the garbage bag on like a diaper was hilarious! I'm so glad you didn't moon Johanna's parents when you met them! That was a pretty picture of the temple and I'm so excited to go next week with Lindy and then to the wedding! What a blessing it will be to be back in the temple! Fun pictures as always.
