The Very Long Fall Break

It was a bummer that Keith's cruise was during Fall break.  I was so glad he could go on the cruise and very excited for him and only a little jealous.  I knew it would be a little overwhelming taking care of Caitlyn on my own, but I thought I would have Jonah to run to the store for me and that he would at least be able to get himself where he needed to be.  Then he got in the car accident two days before Fall break and all of that went out the window.
Jonah worked that week, so I had to take him to and from work too. Jonah was feeling pretty depressed about the accident and the car situation so I was glad that he got out and did fun things with friends.  One night I picked up all his friends and drove them to the mall.  On Saturday Jonah and Kyle got to go to the BYU game with Callie, so I had to drop them off there.  On Saturday night Jonah went with some friends to the haunted circus.
He texted me and told me he just won a dance contest in front of 1,000 people.  I told him he's sure come a long way from the kid who wouldn't wear a wolf costume at pre-school graduation because he thought it would be embarrassing.
While they wait in line there is a stage and some performers.  They picked Jonah and one other person to have a dance contest.  Jonah's friends recorded it so I got to see it.  Jonah used some of Wyatt's break dancing moves and even got a rug burn on his chin when he did the worm.  They let the audience decide with their cheers who the winner was.  Jonah won so his whole group got to go to the front of the line. He was pretty excited and I was thrilled that he texted me about it.  I love when my kids want to tell me things!
Wyatt thanked me for the best Fall break ever! His friends were out of town, but he has started hanging out with Shay Fell and he was in town so they were together all day every day.  On Thursday Wyatt went with them to the fun zone at the mall and then they came over here and watched a movie. On Friday I dropped him and Shay off at Lowes for a couple of hours and then they hung out here again that night.  On Saturday after I took Jonah to the BYU game I told Wyatt that they needed to play somewhere else that day because I needed a break and me and the girls were ready to be home without friends over.  Katie was so sweet and brought us pizza that night.  It was Papa Murphy's so we had it for dinner on Sunday night.  I was so grateful, it was such a relief to have dinner planned and ready and to not have to do dishes that night.  When Katie came over she asked me if I knew where Wyatt was.  I told her I knew he was with friends, but not exactly sure where.  She told me that they saw Wyatt on Geneva Road with a sign that said, "If I make you laugh you owe me $1."  Apparently him and Shay had been doing that for a couple of hours and made almost $30.  They would tell people jokes when they turned into the neighborhood. I guess that is what I get for telling him they needed to find something to do and not play at our house.  I can just imagine what all the neighbors were thinking, earlier that week they see me and Jonah on the side of Geneva Road with the car accident and then Wyatt is begging for money a few days later.  Shay's dad took Wyatt and Shay shopping that night and they wasted all that money on Pokémon cards. Wyatt was sure happy about it though. On Monday and Tuesday Dallin and Eddie were back in town so they all had fun hanging out, usually at our house.
Trinity's mom texted me to see if Trinity could come over on Thursday.  It was a crazy day, but I knew it would be good for Hallee so she came over as soon as I got home with Caitlyn's prescriptions.  I was worried Hallee was going to be bored during Fall break so I bought this Halloween rock painting set for her to work on.
She loved it and they turned out so cute.  Hallee was so helpful.  She took good care of Caitlyn anytime I had to go somewhere and she helped me out a ton.
Caitlyn wanted to paint rocks and a couple of other things, but she usually didn't last too long before she got dizzy.  I talked the girls into watching two of my favorite childhood movies.  Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Troop Beverly Hills.  They both liked Troop Beverly Hills, but Hallee wasn't a big fan of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.  It was nice to be able to sit down and enjoy watching those movies with them.
On Sunday Hallee gave a talk in primary, she did a great job.  I was so excited for Sunday.  It was so great to know I didn't have to drive anyone anywhere and there were no friends over! It was a very tiring Fall break, but I think it went well.

That's great that Jonah won the dance contest and that he used some of Wyatt's moves but too bad he got a rug burn on his chin! I'd love to see the video when you come Sunday. That's so funny that Wyatt and his friend were carrying a sign that said if I make you laugh you owe me $1. It sounds like your fall break was a long one but I'm glad you got to have some fun too! Caitlyn wanting to get up at all was really great! How sweet of Katie to bring you a pizza so you didn't have to worry about dinner on Sunday. That's great that Hallee spoke in primary on Sunday and I wish I could have heard that! Did Keith enjoy his cruise?

That cracks me up about Wyatt! I totally would have pulled over and paid for a joke!
