Dance Sport Competition

Wyatt had a dance competition in January.  We were thrilled that it was at Provo High.

His first competition was Friday at 11:00 AM.  We weren't sure how we were going to be able to do that with work, but Keith ended up taking the day off.  I wasn't sure if I would be able to leave work early, but I was able to and I made it on time to watch him!

His first competition was for Fox Trot.

They did awesome and got a call back.

Later that day he did the Samba and Rumba. They also did great in that.

He also competed in Swing.  It's so fun to watch him.  He looks like he's having the best time.

I love that he will come talk to us after the results are posted.  These dance competitions are so long.  It was nice that Keith and I could come and go since it was so close.  Wyatt stays the whole time and has fun with his friends.  He was thrilled that we bought him Costa Vida.  They have a whole bunch of food vendors since the kids are there all day long for two days. We try to make it special for him.

They had their first group competition. 

They looked great.  They dance to "Hollywood" by Michael Buble.

It's such a fun number.

They do lots of different styles of dance throughout the number.

Wyatt is always right on and looks amazing.

They were disappointed that they only got 5th place.  I thought it was great.  There were a lot of great teams there.  Wyatt had a great time and enjoyed competing.
