Rocky Point, I've missed you!

Matt and Lori booked Rocky Point again!  I think I was as excited as Matt was about it.  We decided to do a siblings trip.  We were sad that Gary couldn't come! Tiff, Mel and I flew to Arizona on Sunday, December 29th.  Matt and Lori were so generous and used their points to fly us out there.  We made them promise that they would let us pay for everything on the trip.  I wrote up a contract and told them if there was any arguments on the trip the three of us would start twerking. I'm happy to say there was no twerking on the trip!

 

The next morning we woke up and drove to Rocky Point.  It was fun to talk the whole way and just spend time together.  The first thing I do when I walk into the condo is go straight to the balcony and take in that view.  It never disappoints. Look at that, I will never get tired of that view!

Elena and Lori joined us too. I'm so glad they did, it was so fun to have them there.  They drove the Tesla out there, but we all squeezed in the truck to drive around town. 

We unloaded and then went for an early dinner at La Curva.  It was delicious!

After that we went and bought tortillas.  We ate a lot of tortillas that week!

After that we changed into our suits and headed down to the beach.  My favorite part is walking through this tunnel...

And coming out to this beautiful view. You can hear the ocean, smell the ocean and there is beauty everywhere you look. 

I couldn't wait to get my feet in that ocean.

It was so fun to hang out on the beach together every day.

I took my favorite book and every day I would sit on the beach and read and nap, it was amazing.

We got fruit cups a couple of times.  They were so yummy!

We sat in the hot tub to watch the sunset.

The sunset did not disappoint.

Tiff bought some stickers with characters from the office and put a note by each of them with how they would say thank you. It was so funny and Matt loved it!

You can overlook the ocean from the pool or the deck by the pool.

Every day we would relax on the beach and read and then go up to the pool or hot tub. 

Every sun set was beautiful.

It just doesn't get better than watching the sun set over the ocean.

Sometimes we watched the sunset from the balcony. 

We saw dolphins two nights in a row.  It was amazing, they were jumping in and out of the water. It was like they were putting on a show for us. It was so cool!

We got some good videos of the dolphins.

Matt and Lori were there for Christmas so they set up a Christmas tree.  Look at that picture perfect set up!

They had this blow up Christmas tree and when the sliding door was open it almost blew away.  I didn't even notice, I just saw Tiff make a run for it, I see where her kids get their speed.  She saved Christmas!

More yummy fruit and a Pina colada on the beach.

At night we would hang out in the condo and watch football or movies. It was fun.

On New Years Eve Lori had Christmas sweater cookies for us to decorate.  Mel and Matt like to rub it in my face that they had an MDH club.  I couldn't be apart of it because those aren't my initials.  Mel thought it was pretty funny to make a sweater with MDH on it. Ha!

Lori had sparkling cider for all of us at midnight. Then Tiff treated us with a rap song.  We hadn't even heard of "Grillz," but she knew all the words.  I was very impressed.

We went to Wreked at the Reef.

Dinner on the beach is the best.

We watched the sun set during dinner.

Such a fun group.  We laughed a lot!

The last night the sunset really put on a show for us.

We were watching from the hot tub and I kept getting out to take more pictures because it kept changing.

It's so fun to watch the sky change. 

I love the pink and orange in the sky.

It was sad that it was our last night.

We had so much fun together.

Saturday morning we got up early to drive back to Arizona. I sat on the balcony for a bit.

We went to Matt and Lori's for a bit and then Matt took us to the airport.  Tiff had a blanket that she bought and they announced that would count as a bag so we had to rearrange bags to fit it in one of our bags.  At one point Tiff said she would layer up and wear lots of clothes if she had to.  She only had to wear my hat, ha!  It was an amazing week!!
