Graduation Pictures

We went to BYU to take Jonah's graduation pictures.  I was driving Jonah crazy because I couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the view was.  He wanted close ups, but I had to get some shots with that view!
I can't believe we are here.  Time goes so quickly, but especially senior years!
When Jonah was in Kindergarten they gave all the kids a Class of 2025 shirt.  They did a program where they sang a song about going on to high school and then college and being the class of 2025.  That sounded so far away, but here we are.
That little boy grew up into a handsome young man.
Jonah has had a great school experience.  We felt strongly about our kids going to Diamond Ridge while we lived in West Valley and that was a great school for them.
I was never interested in dual immersion, but I couldn't shake the feeling that we should put Jonah in the French immersion program at Diamond Ridge.  It was a great fit for him.  He made great friends and it gave him the extra challenge in school that he needed at that age.
And now it feels full circle that he is going to France on his mission.  Hopefully those years of French immersion will come back to him.
It was hard for Jonah to leave his friends in West Valley and move to Provo, but it didn't take him long to find his friends here.  He loved Lakeview Elementary.
Jonah enjoyed Dixon Middle School.  Covid disrupted his time there, but over all I think he had a great middle school experience.  He met new people and his friend group grew.
Jonah loved everything about High School.  He jumped right in and got involved.  He loved going to all the games and dances.  He did track his freshman year, soccer his sophomore year, and football and lacrosse his junior and senior years. He was the Vice President his junior and senior years.
He worked hard in student government. They did a lot of work for assemblies and activities.  Jonah has so much school spirit.  He loves Provo High!
Jonah's friend group kept growing in High School. He was always making new friends.  He has always been so good at being a friend to everyone.  He has a friend Caleb who has autism.  Caleb calls Jonah all the time and asks him to bring him Dr. Pepper and take him out to lunch.  Jonah buys him lunch and includes him with his friends. Jonah was his peer tutor in Middle School and has stayed friends with him.  Caleb was in Jonah's homecoming group this year and he would call Jonah every day to tell him how excited he was.
Jonah has had so many amazing High School experiences.  He is so blessed to have such a big group of friends and they are so good at having fun together.
We ended with some fun pictures.
I put together the front of the announcement.
Jonah wanted this picture on the back!
