Birthday for Hallee, 13-years old!

It's hard to believe that my baby is a teenager.  What a sweet teenager she is.  She is definitely starting to get the teenage hormones and emotions, but she is still so sweet and caring. 

Her birthday was on Saturday this year.  She wanted to open her presents first thing in the morning. 

She was excited to see what things we got her for her room. She didn't want a party this year, all she wanted was a room make over.  She gave me a list of things she wanted and she was excited about each one.

We had one surprise for her.  She has been wanting a mini fridge for her room and we found one on clearance really cheap. 

 I was really excited to give that to her and she was so excited, she couldn't believe she got one!

Hallee is always so fun to watch open presents. She gets so excited about everything.

We love Hallee so much.  She is simply amazing.  She is kind, thoughtful, hard working, artistic, funny and she loves to organize.  She is constantly reorganizing her room.  Hallee loves to spend time with Tessa and Trinity.  She enjoys young women's and school, but she also enjoys some time alone. 

Hallee is always aware and concerned about others.  She is the first to ask us about our day and check in on us when she knows we have something we are worried about.  Hallee is very spiritual.  She has started taking notes in church and has a notebook filled with spiritual thoughts and impressions she has had.  She thinks deeply about things and is always striving to learn more and draw closer to her Heavenly Father and her Savior.  Hallee is organized and responsible.  I never have to worry about Hallee not doing something or not being where she is supposed to be.  She is very good at keeping a calendar and schedule so she always knows what is going on.  Hallee is so artistic and creative.  She loves to paint, make jewelry and draw.  She has been doing some water color bookmarks and they are amazing.  She has done a great job this summer at keeping herself busy and not spending the whole day on screens.  

Hallee was thrilled with all of her presents.  She kept saying, I can't believe you guys got me so much.  She is always very grateful and appreciative for every thing we do for her.  She thanks me for dinner every night.

She filled her fridge with the essentials, Dr. Pepper, string cheese and skin care. 

After she opened presents I went to visit mom because Wendy was in town. Keith took Hallee shopping so she could buy the things she wanted that she didn't get.  She wanted a vanity, but they were too expensive so we didn't get her one. Keith had been looking on facebook market place and found this one for $60.  Hallee made her own vanity in her room so they asked the guy if they could just buy the stool.  Keith talked him down to $13 for the stool.  They met the guy at a storage shed and after Keith told him that it was Hallee's birthday he told them they could just have the vanity too.  Hallee was thrilled.  They brought it home and got it all cleaned up, she loves it!

We worked the rest of the day on washing Hallee's new things and getting her room set up.  She debated over the pictures and wanted it just right.  It turned out so cute.  This ended up taking the whole day, but Hallee loved it and was so happy to have it done. 

Hallee wanted Cafe Rio for dinner that night.  She was pretty excited to get her own salad and happy that it ended up feeding her for two days!

Caitlyn was so excited to give Hallee her present that night when she got home from work.  She knew Hallee was going to love it.

As you can see Hallee was very surprised and very excited. 

Caitlyn got her a Lulu Lemon fanny pack.  Hallee was thrilled. She always asks to borrow Caitlyn's. 

These two are so sweet to each other. 

Jonah sent Hallee this sweet message. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY HALLEE!! I miss you so much. I'm so inspired by your energy and constant love for others. Every day I try to love people like you do. Keep crushing middle school!! I promise the braces will come off eventually and everything will be better.  I love you!! Happy 13th! I'll be home before you know it." 

We had her birthday dessert on Sunday.  She loves the cake in the ice cream cones like my mom used to make for me.  I think she had a great birthday.  We are so blessed to have Hallee in our family.  We all love her so much.
