Caitlyn and Jonah both had a field trip to Wheeler Farm in the last couple of weeks. Caitlyn's was first and Keith was able to go with her. It was a great chance for them to spend some extra time together and it was a great excuse for me to stay home!
They started off with three-legged races. Caitlyn had been counting down to her field trip. She was so excited the night before you would have thought she was going to Disney Land. I don't think she was disappointed. I think she had a great time!
Caitlyn has made a lot of great friends this year. I hope some of them are in her class again next year.
Caitlyn's class did the tour so they got see a blacksmith work, take a wagon ride and feed ducks. She loved every minute of it. Keith is so good with kids and loves to tease so he always has all of the kids laughing. Caitlyn said, "I'm sure lucky to have such a funny dad." I'm glad she knows how lucky she is.
This week was Jonah's turn. He got to do the same tour. He was surprisingly shy during the whole thing. I asked his teacher if he was that quiet in class and she quickly responded with a no. Jonah only had two other boys in his class. He really hit it off with Lincoln from day one.
We went a little early and let Jonah and Wyatt walk around and play. They had fun looking at the animals. Wyatt loves to make all of the animal sounds. He loved the horse until it got right in Wyatt's face and made a loud noise. After that he stayed clear of the horses.
Jonah loved the wagon ride.
Wyatt wasn't so sure about the wagon ride and wouldn't get off of Keith's lap.
At the end they got to feed the ducks. It was a nice day, but I'm really glad I only went once. It was a hot day and I started getting really swollen and was ready to go home! I can't believe this school year is almost over. Sometimes days might move slowly, but the weeks and months sure seem to fly by.
