Payson Temple

Last weekend we went to the Payson Temple open house.  Caitlyn and Jonah have been to five open houses now.  They know what to expect and they get excited about going.  It is crazy to think how rare it used to be to get a new temple and my young kids have already been inside five new temples.
This was by far our best open house.  The last one we went to was Ogden and the kids did pretty good, but Hallee did great this time.  I think she remembered enough to know what would happen next so she wasn't nervous.  She walked around the temple like she owned the place!  She had her hands behind her back and kept saying, "oh, this is sooo pretty."  She made a lot of people smile.
I think we got through quicker than we ever have before.  They had everything running very smoothly.  They took small groups into the sealing rooms where they had someone talk about families and what goes on inside the temple.  My kids loved seeing the mirrors that go on forever in there.
After we came out of the temple, we walked around the temple grounds and took pictures of the kids.  They loved it. HA!  You will notice that Jonah doesn't have any single pictures, he wasn't having it that day.
It is bittersweet to see Hallee growing up so fast.  I miss having a baby sometimes, but I love that she is getting more independent.  I love that we can do things like this without tears, hers or mine!
Caitlyn is always willing to pose for a picture!  She bore her testimony on Sunday about going to the temple.  She never ceases to amaze me with how mature and wise she is.  She bears her testimony with the knowledge of an adult but the Faith of a child.  When she finished the guy behind me leaned forward and whispered, "wow, if only all of our testimonies could be like that."
Wyatt was having a good day which always makes outings more enjoyable!  Sunday he was not having a good day and his teacher had to come get me because he had a full on break down.  He was upset that the normal chorister wasn't there and that they wouldn't sing happy birthday to him because he has had a birthday before and they asked for anyone that has had a birthday. I worry about him sometimes.
They had beautiful flowers all over the temple grounds.  The kids loved those and the water.  Jonah is always proud of himself when he doesn't fall in the water.  He was tempted to jump in though because it was so hot.
Hallee always makes us laugh.  I'm always surprised by what comes out of her mouth, but it always makes me laugh.  She is a little princess, today she requested that I didn't drive over any bumps in the road because she likes a smooth ride with no "bumpies."
I was surprised that Jonah was the one that requested the picture with the Christus.  My kids don't like all of the pictures I take, but they sure love looking at them.
It was so sweet after the temple the kids all just grabbed hands and walked out to the car.  Yeah right, it took us three minutes to get them lined up like this for my picture!
This picture made it all worth it though, because I told them to turn and look and I ended up with this beauty.  I love this picture!  We stopped for dinner on the way home, I will use any excuse to eat out!  It was a fun night.
