We went out to visit Matt and Lori in Arizona. It was crazy hot when we stopped at the gas station in Arizona on the way down. When Wyatt got out of the car he said, "yep, it smells like Arizona!" They are already having August weather down there. We were pretty nervous when it was 112 degrees when we drove into town.
The great thing about visiting Matt and Lori is there is a swimming pool in the back yard to cool off. We all went right in after we unloaded the car. It felt so good!
The kids were so excited to be with their cousins. Elena had two of the same swimming suits in different sizes, Caitlyn wore one so they could match. These two had so much fun together. They are so dramatic and girly!
Jonah and Cody had a lot of fun together. They would pick video games over anything, but they had fun in the pool, playing games and playing Legos. Cody is such a sweet kid. I love hanging out with him and just talking to him.
It was so great to have the puddle jumpers for Wyatt and Hallee. They made swimming a lot more fun for them.
Wyatt got really brave and started jumping in the water. He loved to take off his puddle jumper and have a swimming lesson with mom and dad. He is doing great!
Hallee loved Elena's new mermaid tail.
Hallee was pretty cautious and nervous at first, but once she realized she wouldn't sink, she was floating all over the pool.
The kids had fun on the rafts.
We all loved hanging out on the pool. We played baseball, basketball and a few other games. Cody and Jonah loved when I would chase them around the pool.
All of my kids were so excited to see Ruby. They all want a dog so bad.
We were all so excited to be with Matt and Lori. We stayed for over a week. I'm always worried that we will overstay our welcome, but so far they keep letting us come back! They are welcoming and generous. We love spending time with them!
