Portland

I was so excited to go back to Oregon and visit Gary and Julie again.  We were planning on going to the coast for a week, but we decided to leave on Saturday instead of Monday and spend a couple of days with the Hams.  I'm so glad we did, it was so much fun!
We left early Saturday morning and arrived in Portland around 4:30 PM.  We checked into our hotel and got unloaded and settled a bit and then we called Gary and Julie and we met at Sweet Tomatoes for dinner.  We had fun eating and visiting.  Hallee tried to play hard to get, but Lindy won her over pretty quick.  I love how sweet the older cousins are with my kids.  We headed back to our hotel after dinner.  Gary and Julie and the older kids had walked fifteen miles to the temple that day so they were ready for showers and bed.
It worked out great to stay in a hotel.  We spent most of the time at their house, but it was nice to be able to all go home and get some sleep at night. On Sunday we took our time waking up and getting ready, which was so nice.  The kids were so excited to get over and play with their cousins.  We sure have handsome boys in our family.
We also have some beautiful girls.  I loved seeing Lindy, Kyle and Caleb playing with and taking care of Hallee and Wyatt during church.  Caitlyn loved going to Young Women's with Lindy.  Wyatt went to class with Ammon and I was shocked when Hallee went to sunbeams on her own.  I sat in there for a minute with her and then she told me I could leave.
After church I had fun visiting with Julie while we got dinner ready.  Hallee and Wyatt loved listening to Kyle play the piano.
The kids had fun playing games and playing in the back yard.
The girls were up in Lindy's room talking.  I had fun sitting in there and visiting with them for a while.
I still can't believe that Kyle is leaving on a mission in a week. We sure love that kid!
I loved having time to visit with Gary Sunday night.
On Monday Caitlyn went with Lindy to a stable to ride her horse.  Caitlyn loved going with her.  While they were gone we took the little kids to the park. The weather was cool and perfect, it was so nice to be out of the 100 degree weather. The boys had fun on the swings.  I love this shot of Jacob jumping out of his swing.
Hallee had fun playing at the park.  After the park we picked up the girls and then Julie and I went to lunch while the kids stayed home and played.  My kids loved playing at their house.  After lunch we left for the coast.  I'm so glad we had that one-on-one time with the Hams!
