On Sunday we went to church in Newport. We packed a lunch and ate it on the lawn of the church afterwords.
We clean up pretty nice!
After that we got in our cars and drove 40 minutes. Julie wanted to see Thor's Well and I love seeing new things so I was excited about it. We stopped at a few other spots along the way. We stopped at Devil's Churn. It was pretty cool, but the tide wasn't very high so it wasn't spectacular.
Caleb told all of the boys to lift there shirts when I took the picture. Love that boy!
We parked at Devil's churn and hiked down to Thor's well.
It was a beautiful hike. Lots of shade and beautiful trees!
I can't remember what this is called now, but we stopped here first to see the water crash through these narrow channels. It would shoot up really high, it was fun to watch.
We stopped for a couple of group shots. It was beautiful up there.
You could see Thor's Well from here, but you had to hike down through some rocks and water to get close to the well. They caution you about doing this because it can be dangerous, but the tide wasn't high so we were able to go down.
Spouting horn was at the bottom right before you started hiking over to Thor's Well. I love watching this. When a big wave hit the rocks water would spout out of the rocks. It was so cool!
Everyone hiked over to the well. Keith and I were behind everyone with Hallee and Wyatt. Hallee and Wyatt did not want to walk over there. It was really slippery and had a lot of sharp rocks. Hallee fell and I knew it was over and we couldn't keep going. We went back up to the platform and waited for everyone else.
Julie and Lindy came back after a while and said they would keep the little ones and talked me and Keith into going out there. I'm so glad they did. I was stressed and getting a migraine so I was tempted to just forget it.
I'm so glad we went out there. It was amazing. The sink hole would fill up as the waves came.
Then it would drain and it would happen all over again.
It was so fun to watch. I love the sound of the ocean. I think I could have sat there all day and watched and listened.
I'm so glad we went to see it. I love seeing new things and I'm glad our kids are being exposed to the wonders of nature!
The boys were having fun relaxing on the rocks while they watched it all.
Lindy was so good with Hallee. She took such good care of her and was always playing with her. She played with her in the pool and everywhere else we went.
Wyatt latched on to Caleb. Caleb asked Wyatt what his favorite thing to do was and Wyatt said, "visiting you."
I loved seeing my little two holding their cousins' hands as we walked back. They are so lucky to have such nice cousins.
We were gone all day on Sunday and got home in time for dinner and ice cream! We watched "Miracles from Heaven" that night.
Gary and Julie left after we all went swimming on Monday. We were so sad to see them go. We had so much fun with them! I love having one-on-one time with my family! We had so much fun playing, exploring and visiting with each other. We even got Julie laughing so hard that she cried! Thanks for a great trip Ham family!

Looks like such a great trip! I love all the pictures, especially the ones of Wyatt and Hallee holding Lindy's and Caleb's hands. The ocean is a natural wonder isn't it?
How fun for you guys!
