We have had a lot going on this month, but we have also had some nights at home, which has been great! We love to watch Christmas movies on the nights when everyone is home.
I have been working hard to finish the Book of Mormon this year like President Nelson asked us to. I thought it would be really hard to do it in three months, but it really hasn't been too hard. I usually listen to the scriptures while I do things, so it has been nice to read them and mark them. Hallee saw me reading and marking the scriptures one morning and she wanted to help me mark them. We had fun switching off reading together. Hallee is a great reader! I feel like I have understood so much more this time while reading the Book of Mormon. It really has been a huge blessing in my life and I have felt an extra strength and closer to the Spirit. It has been a real testimony builder for me of both the Book of Mormon and obeying the prophet.
Ataiya was in the Adams Family at the Midvale theatre. Caitlyn and I went to the show last Saturday. She was amazing. She is so talented and so fun to watch.
The play was really funny, the whole cast was great. It was so fun to watch Ataiya do what she loves.
Caitlyn had a concert on Monday. She gets private lessons through BYU program. They had all of the students play a song. Caitlyn has gone back and forth on wanting to quit band this year. Sometimes I want her to quit just so I don't have to argue with her about practicing! When she pulls it out and starts playing, she loves it, but getting it out to practice is a struggle sometimes.
Caitlyn and her teacher played a duet and Caitlyn played a solo during part of the song. They played "Ode to Joy." Caitlyn did fantastic. She sounds so good on the oboe. Her teacher was telling us that the oboe is really hard to get a good sound out of and Caitlyn does great. It was fun to see her so proud of herself. She has been practicing hard and it showed. Good job Caitlyn!
I finally ordered my blog books from 2017. The kids love them. They have been reading them ever since.
The youth went to temple square Tuesday night. I was a little jealous as I went to my new calling, cub scouts! Caitlyn and Jonah had a great time. I love that people sent me pictures. Angie sent me this one of Jonah.
We have a great group of kids in our ward!
Here is Miranda (she took my place) with all of my beehives! I really do miss my young women calling, but it was a busy, stressful calling, so I don't miss that.
I think it is great for Caitlyn to be in there without her mom. She loves Miranda and all of the other leaders. Miranda told me that Caitlyn is the life of the party!
I'm glad Caitlyn and Jonah both enjoy mutual so much.
I helped with Wyatt's class party yesterday. I really don't know how teachers do it. I was so stressed and hot by the time it was over!
I got some ornaments at Michael's and the kids had fun making them. Wyatt loved having me in there, that makes it all worth it. He is such a cute kid!
Yesterday the kids all got out of school early to kick off their Christmas break. We met Tiff and the kids for a movie. We saw "The Grinch" and I loved it. We went to a movie theater in Pleasant Grove that is really cheap and their concessions are really cheap. The kids were thrilled because we don't usually buy snacks at the movie, but I let them all get something. It as only $2 for a kids meal; popcorn, drink and a treat. Crazy! It was fun and a great way to kick off Christmas break!

I love that Hallee wanted to mark the scriptures and read them with you! Your testimony of how it has helped you was beautiful! Great job Allison! Cute pictures of helping in Wyatt's class and Jonah and Caitlyn at temple square and Cait's solo!
