7-years-old

It is hard to believe that my baby will be 7-years-old tomorrow.  Is it just me or does she look like a teenager in these pictures?  

When I told her that we were going to take pictures she went in her room and put lipstick on and begged me to put some mascara on her.  She loves any excuse to wear make up.

Hallee is so much fun.  She has been pretty low maintenance this year. She is easy going and usually happy, she can entertain herself and loves to play with her siblings.  She is always willing to help out and pitch in around the house.  

Over the last few months she has become a little more feisty and seems to stir up trouble with her siblings. I had a hard time adjusting to that after she had been so easy going for so long. 

Hallee has a great sense of humor.  She is usually joking around or making some kind of sarcastic comment.  When she starts laughing you can't stop her. The other night she started laughing during scripture reading and we knew we were done for the night.  Her laugh is adorable and we love hearing it!

I love Hallee's enthusiasm for life.  She is always excited about everything.  She loves to write everything that we have coming up on the calendar in the kitchen and then she talks about how excited she is for all of it. 

Hallee is very social and loves to be with her friends and family, but she is okay to play alone too.  I love that about her. 

Hallee is a deep thinker and very spiritual.  She constantly surprises me with her thoughtful answers during scripture reading and family night.  She also gives beautiful prayers.  She is very good about praying for other people and giving thanks.

Hallee loves to dance.  She is an amazing dancer with beautiful form.  She loves to turn on music and make up her own dances.  She also has a beautiful singing voice.

Hallee has always been very expressive.  I love the facial expressions that she makes.  This is a common one for her.

Hallee is very smart.  She can pick things up quickly and loves to learn new things.  She is so proud of herself when she learns something new. She is also an amazing writer.  Her handwriting and vocabulary are well beyond her years.  She writes the sweetest notes. 

Hallee is cautious, she won't do anything that looks dangerous and she is a pretty big rule follower.

Hallee is so sweet and is always telling us that she loves us and she loves to give us hugs.

This picture reminds me of Jonah.  They both like to try and use a sad face to get sympathy or get what they want.

Hallee loves to play dress up and pretend.  Her and Tessa immediately start playing pretend as soon as they see each other.  I love to listen to them play. 

She told me that she was a cat in this one.  She has started watching the Disney shows on Netflix, she loves Bunked, that may have something to do with her changing attitude!

Hallee is always up for an adventure.  I have to talk the other kids into doing things with me, but she is always up for whatever activity I suggest.  

Who would have thought that my little 2-year-old that used to hit me and call me stupid would turn into such a sweetheart.  She brings so much love and joy into our family.  I'm so blessed to be her mom!
