Shoshone Falls State Park

I have been wanting to see Shoshone Falls for a while now.  I love a good waterfall! Keith found out that he had Thursday and Friday off for the 4th of July so we decided to make a quick trip to Twin Falls to check it out.
It only took us about 3 1/2 hours to drive there.  We woke up Thursday morning (the 4th) and ate breakfast and then headed out.
We figured we would find somewhere to eat when we got of the exit.  We didn't pass anything and before we knew it we were paying to enter the park.  We had some snacks in the car, but we were pretty hungry.  Luckily they had a snack bar at the park.   We were able to buy lunch there before we went to look at the falls.
There was a few stairs that led down to a look out point.  It was really crowded.  We were trying to take a selfie, luckily a nice guy took it for us instead.
We enjoyed the view for a little while and took some pictures.
I love the sound of rushing water.  One day I would like to spend the day sitting next to water while reading a book, that sounds like a perfect day to me.
Caitlyn is looking so grown up lately. She is almost as tall as me and as beautiful as ever!
We could see a couple of other lookout points from where we were, so we decided to explore and find out how to get to them.
The kids were good sports about letting me take pictures.
The kids found a cave to explore.
It was fun to see the falls from the different look out points.
The weather was pretty ideal.  We were hot in the sun, but the shade was pretty comfortable.
The last look out point was empty, it was nice to have it all to ourselves.
The edge of this bridge hung out over the water.  I knew Keith was scared of heights, but sometimes I forget how much.  He wanted to look out over it, but he was nervous and had to hold on to the side.  After a quick look, he was ready to get back.
This was the view over the bridge.  There were so many beautiful views.
After we enjoyed the view for a while, we went back down.
The kids begged me to take pictures of them. Ha!
When we got back down to the snack bar we bought snow cones to cool off.  We cooled off quick in the shade with the snow cones.
I took one more quick look before we left the park.  It was beautiful and definitely worth the trip.
