Blackridge Reservoir

Last week we met the Becks at Blackridge Reservoir.  It has been a few years since we have been here.

We definitely need to go more often, it was so much fun.

We got there at 10:15 AM and we had to leave at 3:15 and it still didn't feel like enough time.  The only downside is that it gets really crowded.

Emilee brought their paddle board and kayak and the kids had a blast!

I think Caitlyn fell out of the kayak more than she was in it.

She loves the water though, so she was fine with that.

The boys had fun in the kayak too.

I was surprised how much Wyatt loved the kayak and paddle board.  He went around on his own a lot while the kids were doing other things.

He hasn't loved water this summer, so I was really surprised.  I loved seeing him have so much fun and quickly gain confidence in his abilities. He picked it up quickly and was paddling around with no problems. 

Jonah was sure he didn't need a life jacket and hated that I made him wear one, but he had fun in spite of it.

Emilee and I got a lot of time to visit while we watched the kids play.  We were usually standing in the water visiting so we could stay cool.

I went out with Wyatt on the paddle board.  I probably should have tried standing, but sitting seemed like more fun.  We had fun going around together.  We all had so much fun.  I'm hoping we can do this one more time summer!
