Hallee had her final choir concert.
She is looking more like a teenager every day.
They sounded great. She wasn't too excited about playing the kazoo in one of their songs, I think she ended up liking it more than she thought she would though. Hallee has loved choir this year and is excited that she made it into Aria choir next year. It is an all girls choir that she had to try out for. She also applied to be on the year book committee and she made it into that too!
Wyatt got two awards at school. His Avid teacher and his student government teachers recognized him for being an exemplary student. They both talked about what a hard working student he is and that he is always willing to go the extra mile to help out. We are sure proud of Wyatt and the wonderful person that he is. He continues to grow and mature in amazing ways.
Wyatt used his first paycheck to buy a gym membership. He has been studying and researching fitness plans and weight lifting. He wants to bulk up to be able to do more lifts in ballroom. He is very dedicated, he goes to the gym every day. He also did meal prep during school so he had a healthy lunch to take with him every day. I love watching him work hard for his passions. He and Bennett have starting a car detailing business. He used his second paycheck to buy supplies for that. He has studied and researched and figured out the best products. They have done a few cars and their customers have been very happy with their work. They made $100 on their last job and I asked Wyatt if he was excited to have that money and he told me that it has to go back into the business right now, but he's hoping they will start making a profit soon. He is an entrepreneur at heart.
Jonah received the Melchizedek priesthood. Keith ordained him and gave him a beautiful blessing. He blessed him with the Faith to heal and that he would be able to help others have the Faith to be healed. It was a special experience. We were sad that dad was sick and couldn't be there. Bishop Abraham came. He has been such a great support and mentor for Jonah. We are so grateful for his influence in Jonah's life.
Jonah was ordained right before his seminary graduation.
I treasure these moments that the whole family is together.
Overall Jonah has enjoyed seminary. He's had some teachers that he likes more than others. His last teacher was great and he said he had some of the best lessons he's ever had in her class. He is lucky to be surrounded by so many friends at church and school.
Jonah wrote the sweetest thing in his story for Mother's Day. He said, "Happy Mother's Day to my quiet strength, my role model, and my heart. Your love for me has been my saving constant in my life. You help give my life meaning and direction. Every good quality I have comes from pieces of you and your goodness. I love you!" Wow, that was so meaningful. Jonah doesn't compliment a lot, but when he does they are very thoughtful and sincere.
Caitlyn also posted and said, "Happy Mother's Day to my best friend, my day one, my biggest cheerleader, my beautiful mom! To know my mom is to love her! Thank you for being all things good and showing me how to be a good person! I can never thank you enough for all you've done for me!" That meant so much to me. I love being a mom and it means the world to me that my kids know how much I love and care about them.
Jonah had graduation practice very early in the morning so he wore his robe, ha! I love that boy, we are sure going to miss him around here.
They have the graduates come walk through their elementary school and all the kids clap for them. Angie works there so she got this picture for us.
Jonah sent me a picture of him in his cap and gown after it and I got a little emotional at work.
Jonah went on a trip to St. George with his friends the morning after graduation. He has been living it up and soaking in all this time with is friends.
One night Jonah called me and told me I had to get outside and see the sunset. Hallee and I ran outside, it was beautiful!
Holly came into town and invited me to dinner. I had a great time and loved catching up with my cousins.
I have been worried about summer. Last summer I started working, but Keith was home. I'm grateful I only work part time, but it's hard working when the kids are home. So far it's been a great summer. Wyatt and Hallee have kept busy with friends and projects around the house. Tiff picked up Hallee and took her to their house on Friday. I appreciate that so much!
Caitlyn went to Duchesne for Hadley's birthday. She was anxious about going because she feels like the odd man out with her roommates. The day before she was supposed to go her car was over heating so she took Jonah's car. She got to Heber and the light was coming on in that car so Keith ran the van out to her and brought Jonah's car home. Luckily Jonah's car is fine, but Caitlyn had to get a new radiator which ended up being $1000 because of the extensive amount of labor it took to put it in. While she was with her roommates they went to the lake and she got fried! She has been so swollen and miserable. We tried dousing her in aloe and wrapping her in plastic wrap to let the aloe soak in. Poor girl has had a rough go of it lately.

Congrats to Hallee on making the choir and the yearbook staff, that's awesome! And congrats to Wyatt on his many awards!
