We have wanted a trampoline for a while, but for different reasons we never bought one. We finally decided to give in and buy one. The guy who sold it to us told Keith that two people could put it up in one hour. I would love to meet the two people who could do that. It took us forever! We had to stop to go to Caitlyn's play, but Keith and I were up late finishing it up. We did enjoy jumping on it while the kids were in bed!
Caitlyn and Jonah were so excited. They couldn't wait to jump.
They love to do tricks on there. Jonah can do all sorts of flips, Caitlyn is more cautious.
Wyatt loves it and tells everyone he sees that he has a big trampoline.
I knew the kids would love it, but I wasn't planning on Keith and I loving it so much. The kids love when we jump with them. Keith went out right after work to jump with Caitlyn.
I love watching Keith play with the kids. One of the reasons we were worried about getting a trampoline is the neighborhood kids. We have a few kids that just help themselves to our yard and anything else they feel like. All the kids usually end up playing at our house, which I like, but it drives me nuts when they are constantly asking for things or helping themselves to our stuff.
Here are a few examples. A few weeks ago the boys next door came over and asked if I could give them breakfast because they were hungry. While I was mowing the lawn the other day I noticed the girl down the street riding around on Caitlyn's bike (Caitlyn wasn't home at the time). I sent Jonah to get the bike back and then she came down and was pulling our wagon out of our shed when I had to stop mowing and tell her to quit taking our stuff. We turned our front sprinkler on the other night and the same neighbor girl shows up in her swimming suit and starts running through it. We had Emilee and her kids over for dinner the other night and this girl ran right over in the back yard to play. Emilee told her kids it was time to go so we sent her home. After she was gone the kids begged to stay so Emilee said, "okay five more minutes." The girl, who was inside her house three doors down, comes running out of the house and runs past us and says, "I heard five more minutes." What? I'm a little nervous that the kids will just help themselves to the trampoline and get hurt. We keep the gate locked and I have to be the referee when they are over here jumping, but so far so good!
The other day Wyatt and Hallee were down for a nap so Jonah and I headed out to jump. It was so much fun. We jumped for an hour. I couldn't believe I went that long, I had to stop and rest, but still! After a while it started raining. We just kept jumping. It was so much fun. I love doing active things like this with Jonah. He loves it. We were soaked and had to change before we went and picked Caitlyn up from school. I am so sore though, man I'm getting old.
