Hallee's birthday

I love my kids birthdays.  I was always so excited for my birthday as a kid and my parents always made it really special so I want to do the same for my kids.  I love that all of my kids get excited for the birthday kid.  It is good for them to focus on someone else and it is good for the kids to have one day a year where it can be all about them.
I love shopping for my kids.  I am always on the look out for a good deal on something my kids would love.  I shop all year round for their birthdays and Christmas.
Caitlyn and Jonah bought Hallee a present.  They were so excited for Hallee to open them.
Hallee loves Doc McStuffins.  I was so excited when I found this Doc McStuffins doll house really cheap a few months ago.  I knew she would love it.
Hallee was so cute while she unwrapped her presents.
She was pretty happy with her loot!  We got her so many fun things and it was all under $40!
The kids all had fun with this water dispenser.
Caitlyn and Hallee had a tea party after we opened presents.  The girls also had fun playing with the new doll house.   I was so sick last week.  I still wasn't feeling well on Hallee's birthday.  I stayed home from church so Hallee stayed home too and we both got naps!
Hallee requested spaghetti and meatballs for her birthday dinner.  After church I made that for her.  I asked her what she wanted for dessert and she said "birthday cookies."  Caitlyn and Hallee had fun helping us make the sugar cookies.
Keith took over the sugar cookies since I was sick.  I love watching him interact with the kids, he loves them so much and they adore him.
Hallee was pretty happy with her birthday cookie.  She didn't know how to eat it though because she hates to get her hands dirty.  She wanted us to sit and feed her so she didn't have to get her hands dirty.  Silly girl!
She stood up to blow out her candles and I think she could feel the heat from the candles and that scared her, so she didn't want to blow them out after that.
The birthday kid always gets to stay up with mom and dad.  Hallee was pretty excited about that!  We played Uno and Ready, Set, Bake.  Hallee loves to play games.  I hate that I was so sick on her birthday, but I think she had a great day!

It sure looks like she did have a great birthday! You do a wonderful job of making it special for your children even if you are sick!
