I love how Hallee describes things. Today when we were driving in the canyon she told me her ears were quiet, which I think meant they were plugged.
Yesterday we saw these two cranes over by the playground. This morning they were right by our cabins looking for food. They even walked over and pecked at our van. The kids were a little scared at first, but once they realized they wouldn't hurt them they thought it was pretty neat.
After breakfast we headed out for another hike. Caitlyn and Jonah were so excited to hike up the mountain again. I'm not sure what I am doing in this picture, but the boys enjoyed the shoulder ride.
Wyatt and Hallee didn't want to hike today so they stayed down in the wood pile with Keith.
I went up with Caitlyn and Jonah. They were excited when we saw a bunny and a squirrel.
We got as high up as we could go without rock climbing. It was sure beautiful.
Caitlyn loved gathering rocks along the way.
I asked Jonah if I could hold him like a baby and he was all for it! It was fun spending time with the older two without worrying about Wyatt and Hallee keeping up. After that we went back down and packed up. We ate lunch out on the deck before we left. It was the perfect way to end our summer vacation.
