Stadium of Fire

I have always wanted to go to Stadium of Fire, I figured this was the year to do it since we live in Provo now.  The other reason we decided to go this year was because Tim Mcgraw would be there!
Since Matt and Lori were in town they decided to go too.  We didn't get to sit by them, but we rode over together and ate before the show.  We love spending time with them, they make everything so fun!
We bought tickets with Tiff, Paul, Katie and Ben.  It was the perfect date night.  The seats were tight, but it was worth it!
The whole thing was awesome.  I love Patriotic Music and I love this country.  It was so nice to celebrate America.  They showed a clip from last year where they were talking about a Marine who fought in the Iraq war who was imprisoned in Iran.  He was born in Iran, but he had become an American citizen and fought for our country.  He went back to Iran to visit his grandma who was dying and they arrested him.  Montel Williams fought along with his family to get him out. Montel (who hosted the Stadium of Fire last year) said that he hoped that next year he would be free and be able to come to the Stadium of Fire.  He was there and they brought him out on stage.  It was so touching, we have it so good here and I think I take it for granted a lot.
I loved the flag ceremony with the different branches of the military.  We really have so much to be grateful for.  I hope that we can stay the wonderful, free, God-fearing nation that the founders intended us to be.
Tim Mcgraw was awesome!  He is a great performer and I love that he is focusing on staying humble and kind.  I couldn't help singing along to his songs.  I'm so glad we went this year, he was definitely worth the money!
After Tim the firework show started.  The fireworks were amazing and I loved the songs that went along with them.  They had a gospel choir there and they were amazing.  I'm so glad we went.  The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays and it was a great way to celebrate it!

This is a great post Al. I love it. And I'm stealing your picture of Tim for my blog. It's way better than mine. :)
