Puerto Vallarta

Wednesday we were in Puerto Vallarta.  We hurried in the morning so we could go with the group to sight see. Keith and Jonah had to go back to the room for something so I took this picture while we were waiting to get off the boat. 

There were a few shops right when we got off the boat.  We all looked around those for a little while.  There was a guy painting on tiles with his fingernail.  Caitlyn bought two of his small paintings. I regretted not getting one so Keith and Caitlyn went back off the boat later and got a painting for our front room and Keith grabbed a belt he had been looking at.  It was nice that the shops were right off the boat. 

After that we all piled in a big van and he drove us down town.  Keith, Caitlyn and Jonah were going to swim with dolphins, but we didn't realize that they needed to go the opposite way so once we all got downtown we decided it wasn't worth it for them to pay to be driven all the way back because we didn't know if they would have any openings anyway.  

They were disappointed, but they were good sports about it.  The views were beautiful!

There were a lot of cool things to look at.  There weren't as many people begging or trying to sell things as there were in the other two ports. 

These four guys were playing instruments on the top of this pole. 

After a few minutes of sitting at the top they started swinging around the pole by their feet and they were still playing their instruments.  It was really fun to see.

It was fun to explore with the family.  We loved having grandma and grandpa with us.

I wish they would have been able to swim with dolphins, but it was fun to spend the day together.

We bought some fans right off the boat and they came in really handy!  It was so hot!

Puerto Vallarta felt very clean.  I think you could spend a lot of time exploring here.

Wyatt liked these rock figures.  After we explored for a while we crossed the street and looked at the shops as we made our way back to the taxis. 

We found some fun shops and souvenirs.  After a couple of hours we were all hot and ready to get back to the boat.  We had to split up into three taxis to get back. 

This group did an amazing excursion that day.  Jonah was hoping to go to, but they sold out before we made our decision.  I was so glad that they bought the pictures and videos, it was so fun to see them.  They rode mules, zip lines, a water slide that required a helmet and shoulder pads and repelled.  They all loved it!

They were out late and Matt took this picture of our boat on his way back. I love it!
