On Sunday I got up and helped Keith and the kids get packed up and get on the road. Later that morning Matt and I packed up and went to the airport to pick up Mel. She decided she wanted to come to Rocky Point one more time and she had a flight credit, so it was perfect. After we picked up Mel we headed for Mexico. Matt's truck had a light come on that said he his suspension needed immediate attention. We were torn on what to do, it was Sunday so no shops were open. We researched as much as we could, but we were nervous about having car problems in Mexico or causing more damage to the truck by driving it. Matt decided to call uncle Dave. He assured us that we were fine and that it was just the fancy suspension package that would need to be fixed, but we still had struts and we didn't need to worry. We were so glad we could keep going and keep our plans. The truck was fine the rest of the time. It really is a blessing that we have had so many road trips with no car problems.
Matt's lease is over at the end of January. Mel was asking him if he was okay with that and then she turned to me and said, "are you going to be okay Al?" We figured out I have been there 5 times in 4 months! I'm so grateful I was able to go so much. I appreciate Matt and Lori's generosity so much! It has been so much fun to spend all of this time with Matt and his family.
After we unpacked and got something to eat we went down to the pool and the hot tub. We loved watching the sunset most nights.
Unfortunately, Matt had to work a lot while we were there. Mel and I felt a little guilty leaving him upstairs to work while we went and relaxed on the beach.
I like to sit in the pool after the beach. The week of Thanksgiving there were quite a few people there, but this week it was pretty empty.
Monday was Matt's birthday so we took him to La Curva for dinner.
He was excited to get fried ice cream for his birthday.
We did an early dinner so we could get home in time to watch the sunset from the hot tub.
Every night I couldn't stop myself from taking more pictures of the sunset. I love the sunset pictures with the palm trees in it.
Every day Mel and I would go down to the beach. We would look for some shells and stand in the ocean for a while and then relax and read and visit.
The water was so calm and clear most of the week.
Matt would usually come join us in the afternoon and we would move to the hot tub for sunset.
We watched movies most nights. It was fun to watch movies that I hadn't seen before.
It never gets old to sit on the beach and read a book or just watch the ocean.
I never get tired of watching the sun set either.
It's amazing that the sky just keeps changing colors after the sun goes down.
Wednesday night we went to Wrecked at the Reef. The place was pretty much empty so we got a table with a great view.
Of course we went at sunset. The food was great and we enjoyed staying for a while and listening to the music and enjoying the view.
I enjoyed reading on the balcony. It's really sunny and warm during the day, but the morning and evening it is perfect.
We decided to spend our last night watching the sunset from the balcony.
We had a great time together. I wish Tiff and Gary could have been there too. On Friday we left early and grabbed lunch before Matt dropped us off at our different airports. Thank you Matt for sharing your paradise with me five times!

I loved all the pictures and you did get some beautiful ones of the sunsets. I hope you are going to be okay with your chance to go to Rocky Point ending Allison! That's great that you were able to go so many times!
I’m pretty sure we need to just buy a condo there.
