Christmas Morning

This was the first year that we had our Christmas Tree downstairs.  It's too hard to have it upstairs with our sectional.  I missed the tree in the front room, but it was nice to open presents down stairs in the bigger space.
The kids looked through their stockings and looked at their gift from Santa first.
Caitlyn and Jonah got pickleball sets, Hallee got a sloth and Wyatt got a pogo stick from Santa.
We take turns opening presents. Wyatt went first.
Hallee went next and opened some new sloth pajamas.  She had to put them right on.
Jonah is definitely my hardest one to shop for.  He usually just wants clothes, but it's getting harder and harder to pick out clothes that he will like.
Caitlyn gets so excited about every gift.
They had these Breakin Circles sweatshirts for sale at the battle and Wyatt really wanted one.  I texted Deon to see if I could get one for Wyatt for Christmas. He kept asking if he could get one and I told him that they didn't have his size, so he was surprised to open one on Christmas morning.
He hasn't taken it off since he got it.
Hallee asked for a laptop, but didn't think she would get it.  She said it's not fair that we all have one and she wanted her own.  When Keith's company gets new computers Keith will take the old ones for the kids, it came in very handy during Covid when the kids were doing school online.
There was an old lap top at work that no one was using so Keith's boss said he could have it.  Hallee was so surprised and so excited.  Keith had the computer all ready for Hallee including a Christmas/Sloth background.
Jonah was pretty excited when he opened up a gift with a coupon for one year of apple music inside.
The older kids are getting really hard to shop for.  They usually want expensive things, but I want them to have more presents to open so it gets tricky. I took a shot and bought Caitlyn some jeans and they fit and she loved them!
Caitlyn has a million pens, but I know she will always be excited for more.
Caitlyn wanted airpods and she wasn't expecting much else, but I was still able to surprise her with a few things.
The only ideas Jonah gave me were Apple Music and clothes. It was a relief that he liked most of the clothes I picked out for him.
Poor Jonah wasn't feeling well.  He didn't sleep well the night before and he had the cold now and just wasn't feeling great.
Wyatt was pretty excited about his coding robot.  He had fun building it and now he can code it to do different things.
Hallee was so excited about everything she opened.
The sloth neck massager was a big hit!
She was also pretty excited about her lotion and body spray.
Wyatt was really surprised with his go-kart attachment for his hoover board.
Hallee had more presents than everyone else because the things she wanted were a lot cheaper than what the other kids asked for.  She loved having lots of presents to open.
I love watching her excitement and surprise with every gift.
She loved all of her new sloth stuff, especially her soft blanket.
Caitlyn said she got nervous when she only had one present left and it didn't look like an Airpod box.  I put the airpods inside a medicine box so she wouldn't know what it was.
She was relieved and thrilled when she opened the airpods!
After the kids opened all of their presents we told them we had a family gift.
Wyatt opened the main present so he was the first to realize what it was.
They were all shocked and so excited to see we got a Nintendo Switch.
We got a game for all of them to open and some extra controllers and a case. Keith has been working hard over the last couple of months looking for the best deals on the switch and the games.
Christmas morning is so fun.  I love giving gifts and I love the excitement of Christmas morning, there is nothing like it.

You sure get some great pictures of the kid's excitement over their gifts! Christmas morning is just a special time and it's great to share in the excitement of your children. It looks like you did a great job of picking out gifts for your children! We enjoyed being there that day and seeing what they got and thanks for giving me some food cause I was getting pretty hungry!
