Christmas Eve

Hallee has been so excited for Christmas.  I couldn't resist ordering her this Christmas outfit.  She wanted to wear it for her Christmas program at school, but we didn't get it in time.  She looked so cute!

Wyatt had a runny nose for a few days and then Keith and I got a cold.  On Thursday (the day before Christmas Eve) Jonah woke up with a fever.  We decided we better get tested so Keith, Jonah and I went to the testing site right when they opened on Thursday.  Luckily, we were all negative.  We debated about staying home on Christmas Eve, but Jonah was feeling better and his fever was gone so we went.

Caitlyn was so worried that we were going to have to stay home.  She loves Christmas Eve.  

Jonah loves having EJ and Elijah at grandma's. 

I love listening to Wyatt and Rockwell laugh together.  They sure get a kick out of each other.

Hallee and Tessa love to play in the extra bedroom downstairs and they do not like it when the boys come in!

This was the first year we didn't act out the nativity, we just watched it.  It's probably time, I think the kids have out grown acting it out. 

Time is so weird, it seems like so long ago that my kids were little and like yesterday at the same time.  

After that grandma read a story and played some songs for us.  It was great to slow down and focus on Jesus Christ.  I'm glad that my kids get to hear my parents testimony of Jesus Christ every year.

After that it was time for Bingo.  

The adults play in the dining room with grandpa and the kids play in the kitchen with grandma.

It's still weird that Mel has three adult children and one married one.  It's been so fun to watch them grow up into kind, hard working, responsible adults.  

The adult grab box is getting pretty crowded!

The kids one is getting less crowded.

Jonah was expecting a gift card, but he was excited to see he got the latest Dragon Watch book.  He couldn't wait to start reading it.  He had just reread the whole series and wanted to get the last book.

Caitlyn was excited that her, Atiya and Amarie got gift cards to Cafe Rio.

Hallee and Wyatt were both excited about their books.  Wyatt is almost finished with 4th Harry Potter book so he was excited to get the 5th one.  Hallee got the 5th Secret Zoo book, she has been loving that series. 

After that we were able to visit for a while and have treats.

Caitlyn gave my parents a box that had pictures and notes form the grandkids.

She always gives the most thoughtful gifts.
